Job Summary: Performs professional and administrative duties involved in directing the employees of the organization. Responsible for hiring and monitoring employees, as well as making sure that the needs of the organization are met. Administers employee recreation and welfare services and deals with disputes.Build an employer of choice culture leading the development, implementation, application, monitoring and continuous improvement of process and practices in human resources, talent acquisition/recruitment, team member development/engagement, and performance management.

Essential Functions:

1.Develop and implement a proactive comprehensive talent acquisition strategy and process to identify, attract, assess and hire the right skill set for each position the first time.

2.Determines and effectively recommends employee relations practices, policies and programs necessary to establish, develop and maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.

3.Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the HR department. Build a high-performance department that leverages internal and external resources in meeting the human resource and talent development needs of Wixon.

4.Develops Human Resources departmental goals, objectives and systems with the President and recommends necessary changes.

5.Acts as a trusted advisor and resource to the Wixon Leadership Team, Managers and all stakeholders by providing proactive fact-based counsel on all talent/HR/employee-related challenges.

6.Evaluate, identify, develop, implement and maintain the talent management system, policies and resources to make talent a competitive advantage for Wixon. Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, including requisitions, job postings, sourcing, behavioral assessments, customized interview strategies, selection and offer/negotiation process.

7.Design, administers and annually updates compensation programs, rewrites job descriptions as necessary, maintains departmental annual budget, and monitors performance management (corrective action, PIPs, terminations, performance evaluations, recognition and rewards).

8.Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company HR polices and governmental employment laws, regulations and related reporting.

9.Consults with management and insurance brokers (commercial, health, dental, vision, life and disability) to obtain the most appropriate benefit plan design/administration and types of coverage.

10.Responds to questions or complaints from employees in a timely fashion, provides coaching and counseling as needed, and conducts exit interviews.

11.Maintains highly confidential information and exercises discretion.

12.Effectively communicates at all levels with tact, including applicants, maintaining a positive professional image. Establish and utilize effective communication delivery channels.

13.Effectively handles sensitive and difficult employee relations including terminations and provides feedback to functional managers to ensure corrective action is taken.

14.Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings such as seminars as required.

15.Consults with legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with state and federal law when needed.

16.Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the cafeteria.

17.Conducts a continuing study of all HR policies, programs and practices to keep top management informed of new developments. Consistently expands knowledge in HR best practices and advancements to ensure that Wixon builds a reputation of employer of choice.

18.Supervises the staff of the Human Resource and Cafeteria departments.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. May represent the company in any legal matters such as unemployment and employment relation issues.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resources/Organizational Development or related field required. Master's degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in an Organizational Development/HR leadership role in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Experienced in all functional areas of HR management (recruiting, on-boarding, benefits, compensation, compliance/employment law, performance management and talent development/management/retention & separation). Knowledge of organizational development and talent management models/theories/tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Quality:

Must possess, demonstrate and follow all instructions, procedures and guidelines set forth in all applicable Wixon/ISO/department policies to assure continued quality product is produced.

Physical Demands: None listed.

Working Conditions: Normal front office environment with occasional exposure to hazards of an industrial environment including noise, dust, hazardous materials, machinery, and equipment.
