Dear Seniors and Parents,

As you know Kairos is next week. Here is information you will need. First, your retreat will be held at Camp Craig’s, Calabasas, a truly beautiful, peaceful setting. You need to meet in front of the school at 8:00 Wednesday. You will leave on a chartered bus. Bring some extra money because you will be stopping on the way up for a “brunch.” Our first meal at the Ranch is dinner. You will also need money for lunch on the up to retreat and on the way home. The bus should arrive at home about 5PM on Friday.

Bring the following: casual warm clothes, (it gets cold at night) personal supplies, sleeping bag, pillow, towels, soap, shower sandals, pen, flash light (optional) and a snacks to share. DO NOT BRING CLOTHES FOR A WEEK ... WE ONLY HAVE SO MUCH ROOM SO PLEASE BRING CLOTHES FOR THE FEW DAYS AWAY. THANK YOU!

There is tea and hot chocolate available. So bring a plastic coffee cup if you have one. They do provide Styrofoam cups but it’s nice to not pollute the earth any more than we already do. Let’s try and recycle!

You should bring a snack to share. Any snacks you bring we ask that you share with everyone. Snacks will be shared in the conference room and are not allowed in the dorm area. Again, you will leave for the retreat at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday by bus. You may wear comfortable clothes. Please do not wear anything that goes against our school philosophy. Thank you!

Lastly, we cannot stress enough the prohibition of drugs, and alcohol. Anyone who brings or uses alcohol or drugs during the retreat will be sent home. As you all know Bishop Montgomery has a zero tolerance policy and possessing drugs of any kind is grounds for expulsion. Interquest will be available before and on all retreats to assist us in assuring that drugs have no place at school functions.

If there is an emergency and you need to reach us at Salvation Army Mt Crags 26801 Dorothy Dr. Calabasas, 91302 (818) 222-6327. If you have any further questions concerning the retreat, please do not hesitate to contact us in Campus Ministry (310) 540-2021 (x257) or Mrs. Fitzpatrick our front office receptionist. Know that we are looking forward to sharing these days with you! Please join us in praying for all the seniors, the student team and the adult leaders.

Sincerely,

Ms. Amy Hendry (Revised 16)
