NEXT LEVEL CAMP INFORMATION
For children entering the 4th or 5th grade in the Fall of, 2017, we are excited to offer a one week camping experience at our Next Level Camp, June 19-23.
REMINDER: Register early! Space is limited and every year the camp fills up quickly.
COST
Early Bird Registration is $425 if paid in full by May 1, 2017. *If space is available and you register after, May 1st, the cost for camp is $475 per camper and must be paid in full by, June 1, 2017. Cash, Checks (payable to Second Baptist Church), or American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa are accepted.
· Early Bird Registration must be paid in full by May 1, 2017.
· If space is available, registration that occurs after May 1st will be
$475 and is due in full by June 1.
** Note: Your Child’s registration forms will not be accepted or a spot reserved for camp until All forms ARE completed including all signatures, pictures, COPIES, and appropriate payment.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAMP
Complete ALL forms including:
· Registration Form
· Payment Form
· Camper Profile with picture
· SBC Medical Release/Information Form with copy of insurance card
· Carolina Christian Creek Medical Release Form
Please complete these forms in their entirety. Attach all forms, along with payment, and turn in to the Next Level Office at the Woodway, West, North, Cypress, South or 1463 campuses during the week or on the weekend.

A letter/email of confirmation reserving your child’s spot for Camp will be sent TO THE DESIGNATED EMAIL ON THE REGISTRATION PAPERWORK upon receipt of all required forms and payment. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact the Next Level Ministry Office @ 713-465-3408.

There will be a MANDATORY Parent’s Meeting. You may attend the meeting that fits best with your summer schedule but please make arrangements to have at least one parent in attendance at this meeting.

TRANSPORTATION:
We will travel in Air-Conditioned Coach Buses.
CABINS
The cabins are air-conditioned and have a total of 18-24 bunk beds.
Each cabin will have 2-3 leaders and 15-17 children.
BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES
Please read the attached Behavior Guidelines with your child. Make sure you and your child have read and understand the contract and have discussed the rules and guidelines of camp. It is the parent’s responsibility to pick up their child from camp should camp leadership feel it necessary to send your child home.
PHONE CALLS
Children will not be allowed to call home unless absolutely necessary.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK YOUR CHILD TO CALL.
NO CELL PHONES WILL BE ALLOWED AT CAMP.
Your child's week at Camp is designed to help them grow and mature spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Please help us accomplish this by not sending a cell phone with your child, calling or visiting your camper during the week of camp, except in case of an emergency or with special approval from the Camp Director, Cynde Turnage.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
Should there be any damage done to the campgrounds, facilities, buses, or property of other
campers or leadership, the parents of the campers involved will be held responsible.

MEDICINE
All medicine must be given to the camp nurse. A child is not allowed to have any medication,
prescription or over-the-counter, with him/her in the cabin unless authorized by the camp nurse.
Place all medicine in its original container with medication label along with a completed medication card in a zip-lock bag with the child's name on the outside. Send only the exact amount of medicine that will be needed for the week of camp. The camp nurse will be available to receive medication at the sign in table before leaving for camp. A medication card per medication must be completed, dated, and signed by a parent.
·Medication Cards will be available at each of the Parent Meetings·
·Please be sure the nurse has been made aware of any special needs your child may have,
such as asthma, severe allergies, food allergies, etc.
·If your child is on medication for hyperactivity during the school year,
please continue that medication for the week of camp.
***IMPORTANT***
Please remember to pick up any medication or medical devices from the nurse upon return.
WHAT TO SEND
Due to limited luggage space and manpower, you will be allowed to send only one suitcase or bag and a sleeping bag/pillow. Your child must be able to carry their own luggage to their cabin.

**PLEASE LABEL ALL BELONGINGS**
Use a permanent marker to label clothing, towels, shoes, socks, underwear, flashlight, toothbrush, etc. Everything you send should have your child’s name on it (not just their initials). Every year we have a tremendous amount of lost and found. Please help us eliminate this problem by labeling all belongings. We will display all lost items at the Next Level Ministry information desk during Bible Study for the two weekends following camp. All items not claimed by this time will be donated to missions. You may check with us for any lost items by calling the

CAMP BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES
PLEASE READ AND DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES WITH YOUR CHILD
As a participant at Second Baptist Church Next Level Camp 2017, your child must agree to obey the following guidelines of cooperation in order to guarantee a Christian atmosphere and a good experience for all campers:
1. Obey all requests and instructions of the Camp Directors, Staff, and Leaders.
2. Do not bring into the camp or use any video games, radios, CD or MP3 players, cell phones, shaving cream, or other disruptive materials.
3. Do not bring any money, snacks, food, or candy to camp.
4. Follow the camp schedule faithfully, being on time, in the right place, and ready to participate as the schedule indicates. This includes wake-up and lights-out times. (No one is permitted outside their cabin between lights-out and wake-up times.)
5. Do not use profane or dirty language while at camp.
6. Participate fully in all activities of camp.
7. Respect the property of the camp, Church, and other campers.
8. Do not participate in any activity that would hurt another camper or leader such as fighting, practical jokes, hurtful words, or gossip.
9. Come to camp with an attitude of having fun and expecting to learn how God can use this experience in your life.
10. Understand that if at any time a child repeatedly breaks a clearly defined camp guideline or is defiant of camp leadership, they will be sent home.
Please make sure you and your child have read and discussed the above Behavior Guidelines and understand that it is the parent’s responsibility, to pick up your child from camp should the camp leadership feel it necessary to send your child home.
It is not necessary to turn in this form. It is for you and your child to discuss.
