1. The meeting was opened by Sokol Dedja Secretary General of MoHwho welcomed all the participants in the meeting. This was followed by introduction of each participant and the organizations they were representing.

2. Marcel Reyners from Pro Shendeti/USAID in his presentation described the progress made from their activity in improving Primary Health Care in districts where they are focused on such as Berat, Shkodra, Korca and Lezha (see attachment).

3.Later he has left the floor to Flora Hobdari, as well from Pro shendeti/USAID, to explain the new contracting system of health centres from Institute of Health Insurance as the single purchaser in the country. Also she mentioned the advantages of this new contract system and the next steps to be followed. (See attachment)

4. And the last presentation was from Enrico Davoli on Emergency Health Care Services in Albania, based on a survey conducted last year from WHO. He highlighted that Eemergency Services in Hospitals in Albaniaare under-used and there is a very urgent need of setting up a basic package of services and emergency medical assistance to the public.(See attachment).

5.. Sokol Dedja at the end of the meeting thanked for these very useful presentations and as well all the donors for their assistance to the Albanian health sector and asked for continuation of that kind of support.

6.The next meeting will be conducted from/ in the MOH, with an agenda and date to be discussed and will be known very soon. If you have suggestions for the agenda of the next meeting you are welcome.
