Skin Care Class Tips

Special thanks to Melissa Mays for skin care class training at Linda Toupin’s boot camp. You can visit melissamays.com for more info on her skin care class.

To help you, the following are instructions on how to hold a class: Opening, Body, and Close.

I believe this will help you customize your Class, making it and your flip chart your very own!

The price of success in this business is the Skin Care Class.

A ‘Full Circle Class or Perfect Party’ helps you to maximize your time, giving you the best results.

The 3 B’s in Full Circle are:

BASICS

BOOKINGS

BUSINESS PARTNERS.

Practice makes permanent not perfect; I would suggest to reflect after each party what you did well at your party and what do you want to improve for your next one and practice that skill. If there’s a skill you want to own – go watch someone who is a master (even if that means to drive hours to observe; it’s worth it)

Flip Chart

1.  Print out all the pages and cut them out to fit the flip chart page, making sure to cut off the right side, so it does not cover the pictures that show you what they’re seeing on the front side.

2.  Put your hostess program on the first page (instead of 2 women that says Discover Beauty)

3.  Put pictures of your current goal on page 4

4.  Put your Own Before and After picture on page 12

Prior to Class

1.  When pre-profiling be sure to tell guests they receive a free gift when they attend the party (this will be one week supply of mascara) and their friend receives $40-$50 free when she has two guests and she’s one of them.

2.  Hostess Packets & Recruiting Packets can be one in the same; may put in either Mary Kay Small plastic bag, sheet protector or cello bag; to include 4 sales tickets, 4 business cards, hostess plan/brochure, team building brochure, choices cd or Imagine the Possibilities DVD.

Set Up

o  Mirror & Tray with cotton ball, cheek color & eye liner and lip gloss sampler. (candy helps too); may also want hair clips.

o  Pack Miracle Sets with Pink/Purple Head Bands around the outside to show which formula. Mascara and Color Card (Gifts) inserted between headband and bag. Be sure to include business cards inside and current Look Book or Beauty Book, and name game cards.

o  Laminate the Beauty Book Inserts (if you don’t want to continue purchasing beauty books)

o  Color Insider Book on the Table (used only for hostess look)

o  Dollars for Dollar Game – approximately 5 single $1 per person

o  Optional - Vase with pens on Table… Looked like flowers; and small squirt bottle can be helpful to moisten hands without a sink.

o  Real Wash Cloths. Have them tilt their head back. Pat them on their face.

o  Can use new brush set for your hostess since she will probably earn that for free and she can then have that one – otherwise it may be washed out.

o  Have hostess gifts in gift bags and have a small gift for the Face Race.

o  Have 3 choices of special hostess gift (i.e. magnified mirror, etc.) and promote being able to select all three when hostess has more parties herself.

o  Set Mary Kay “brag” book on table – your own recruiting notebook of what you’ve purchased with your profits, prizes you’ve earned and your goals

o  Also keep the large plastic bags that come in your order (or zip lock bags work too). Use one to pass around and throw away any used samples so the table is clean before your closing and the other to put your wet wash cloths in.

Product Demonstration & Selling Strategies

o  Daily uses Miracle Set on one of her hands and shows the difference – big way to SELL!

o  For Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover: Use Cotton Pads instead of balls. Can use both sides and absorbs less product.

o  Put different formula of cleansers in your beauty coat pockets to save time going around table

o  When Demonstrating Day & Night solution pass the bottle and let them squirt. (It’s fast they also feel the quality packaging

o  Have pumps on Timewise moisturizers; you’ll use less product.

o  Remember that both the Miracle Set and the Ultimate Miracle Set are really a $10 savings.

o  Could have one or two full size DC Powder Foundation to use on everyone to set foundation. Could also use full size common cheek color (with clean cotton balls for demo).

o  Classic Look Cards… Pull lip sample off card; bend in half and blot lips on it.

o  Feel comfortable to sit down to make your presentation more informal.

o  Wear the Company Black Beauty Coat and you’ll feel professional and people will take you more seriously.

o  Practice your presentation regularly; care enough to prepare.

Recruiting Strategies

1.  Have Choices CDs and/or Imagine the Possibilities DVD inside flip chart and show as part of the ½ price it’s nice hostess program.

2.  Take recruiting prospects with you to your skin care classes
