MINUTES OF THE MEETING – APRIL 8, 2014

The Deer Creek – Lamont Board of Education met in rescheduled regular session Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Superintendent’s Office, Deer Creek – Lamont High School, 1192 Harrison Avenue, Grant County, Lamont, OK. President, Mike Williams, called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. Justin Hembree opened the meeting with a prayer.

Members present: Mike Williams, Chad Muegge, Justin Hembree, Heath Wallace and Sabrina Blaser. Administration present: Jim Lewis, Barbara Regier and Mike Thompson. Also present: Cathy Aldrich, Encumbrance/Minutes Clerk, Deborah McFeeters, Kristy Williams, Bill Moon, Barbara Shipley, Shellie Braden, Jill Moody and Michelle Webster.

Motion was made by Sabrina Blaser seconded by Heath Wallace to adopt the revised agenda. M. Williams, yes; C. Muegge, yes; J. Hembree, yes; H. Wallace, yes; and S. Blaser, yes.

Motion was made by Heath Wallace seconded by Justin Hembree to convene in Executive Session at 6:35 P.M. to discuss the re-employment of all career teachers so that the board could return to Open Session and vote to re-employ, provide statutory notification to, or table consideration of career teachers for the 2014-15 school year. 25 O.S. Section 307 (B)(1)

Executive Session Compliance Statement –

Board Clerk, Sabrina Blaser, read the following statement:

The Deer Creek – Lamont Board of Education convened in Executive Session to discuss the re-employment of all career teachers so that the board could return to Open Session and vote to re-employ, provide statutory notification to, or table consideration ofcareer teachers for the 2014-2015 school year. No action was taken during Executive Session. Those present were: Board Members: Mike Williams, Chad Muegge, Sabrina Blaser, Justin Hembree and Heath Wallace. Administration: James Lewis.

Superintendent Lewis recommended all career teachers be re-employed for the 2014-15 school year.

Motion was made by Chad Muegge seconded by Justin Hembree to re-employ each of the individually listed career teachers for the 2014-15 school year.

Motion was made by Sabrina Blaser seconded by Justin Hembree to call a Special Meeting on April 11, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. to interview candidates for the boys and girls coaching positions. M. Williams, yes; C. Muegge, yes; J. Hembree, yes; H. Wallace, yes; and S. Blaser, yes.
