GENERAL MEMBERSHIPMEETING

MINUTESDECEMBER 4, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Commodore Hennig.

Minutes of the November 6, 2007 meeting was approved as read.

The Treasurerreported income of $1,454.16, expenses of $9,286.63 and for a net loss for the month of $7,832.47. Current assets are $130,449.46. This report was approved as read.

V/C Nolanhad no report.

R/C Scanlonhad no report.

F/C Exley had no report.

Assist. F/C Pilney said that the dock and dock box removal went well. An attempt was made to repair all lights we had only could fix 5 of them. The tree by Ted’s dock has been taken down. The Ohio EPA storm water run-off permit does not apply to us. Ted Makse questioned why we paid for a Bobcat to move members dock boxes. Rich Tramte made a motion, seconded by Ted, to not move dock boxes at the club’s expense. After a discussion, the motion failed.

The Trustees reported that the winter dumpster schedule is in effect now. Only the dumpster behind the club house will be picked up.

Planning reported that the Port-a-pump out concrete containment hasto be completed. The shower house plumbing is approved and waiting for a break in weather to pour the floor. All associated shower house costs are as reported in November.We are looking at replacing the ceiling in the club house, as well as all of the bathroom vanities and sinks. Two more trees need to be removed; one is by Steffy’s dock and one on the Island.

Membership presented Russell Murphy and Marcus Makee for Associate Membership. Both passed by a show of hands.

The entertainment scheduled is the Christmas parties for the adults and the Teen’s. There will be New Year’s Eve party hosted by Ted and Sue Makse, see the flyer.

For Attendance,Jackie Smith reminded everyone to sign in.

Ways and Means is having the Holiday Big Booze raffle this evening.

Dennis Steffy for the Website, reminded everyone to make sure all e-mail addresses are updated.

Sue Makse, for the Ladies Auxiliary, said that the children’s Christmas party went well. The adult Christmas party is this Saturday. The bus trip on 1/26/08 has one bus filled and they are looking at filling a second bus.

The ballot results showed Hans Weinhold won Asst. Fleet Captain; Alan Exley won Rear Commodore, David Ayers for one year term at Bylaws and Larry Eslinger for Planning. All other positions were unopposed.

NEW BUSINESS

None.

BUSINESS FOR THE GOOD

Ted Makse announced that the cruise he was trying to put together was canceled due to lack of interest. He also needs 2 canoes for the July regatta. Ted also pleaded that the construction equipment being stored on the club grounds be left here. He cited the fact we are using the machinery for construction and all kinds of other tasks. He said what a shame it would be if the owners take it out and do not bring it back later. Ted mentioned that this is a result of the $50 trailer storage charge that the board is imposing. He then suggested that the Board meeting minutes be read at the General membership meeting.

Joe Lizewski made a motion to destroy the officer election ballots. It was seconded and passed.

Rich Langer will take care of the fire extinguishers annual inspection and certifications.

Rick will also see that fire extinguishers will be mounted at the BBQ pit, pavilion and the garage.

Guests were introduced,all the raffles were held.

No further business being submitted, it was moved we adjourn. Motion was seconded and passed. Adjournment was 8:25 p.m.
