Recycling & Litter Prevention
ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP—$500

This scholarship is made possible by the Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow Solid Waste District.

REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must be a senior (or graduating junior) attending a high school or home school

located within the boundaries of Morrow County.

The applicant must have participated in at least one organized recycling drive or litter clean up.

The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher—a transcript of the

applicant’s grades must be attached to the application.

Attach to this form;

1. A one page essay of approximately 500 words, describing your attitude toward and involvement in litter prevention, recycling, and environmental stewardship.

2. A resume of your school and community involvement, emphasizing your environmental stewardship activities.

3. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, advisor, or leader who has knowledge of your litter prevention, recycling and environmental stewardship.

4. Your current high school transcript that includes GPA.
Applications must be received by April 1, 2017.

Applications will be scored based upon involvement in environmental efforts, completion of all application requirements, and GPA .

Applications will NOT be scored by Morrow County Recycling employee.

Recipient will be announced on May 15, 2017.

A $500 check will be issued prior to the beginning of what is deemed as the first quarter and will be made payable to the institution of recipients choice.
