PART-TIME COURSE in SPOKEN TAMIL - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL- 2012
The Tamil Speaking Union is proposing to offer a Part-Time course in ‘Spoken Tamil - Intermediate Level’ to all those interested in further develop their skill in spoken Tamil .
Objectives - To further understand Tamil when spoken ; to speak in Tamil using simple
and complex structures; to further understand Tamil movies and serials
Learners - Open to all those having followed the ‘Spoken Tamil- Basic level ‘ course.
- Students with a pass Tamil at SC and/or HSC levels may also apply for this
level. But admission will be subject to satisfaction to an oral test.
Teachers - Competent teachers with very good speaking skill
Teaching methods: A variety of teaching/learning strategies with written and audio-visual
materials; It will be based mainly on listening and oral expressions.
Duration of Course : 30 weeks / 45 hours. Courses start as from 1st week of March 2012.

Assessment and Certification:
A Certificate will be issued to successful participant based on attendance and proficiency. A certificate of attendance will be issued to those who opt to follow the course as ‘auditeur libre’
Fees structure: - Rs 100/- as application fee payable when submitting application
- Rs300/-(unemployed) ;Rs 500/-(employed) as tuition fees( end of March 2012)
- Rs 100/- as certificate/assessment fees (end of October 2012)
Family Package tuition fees : Rs 1000/- for a family with 3 persons and an additional of Rs 200/- only for each additional family member.
Mode of application: Send application to the Programme Coordinator either by post or through the respective Centre Coordinator by 29th February 2012 latest.
