Kelly Arrington is the Guidance Coordinator for the Career and Academic Connections (CAC) division. Kelly coordinates career guidance programs in Oklahoma technology centers and assists staff in planning and implementing statewide career guidance and advisement systems. She knows about state and federal legislation issues pertaining to guidance. She is also an expert in career development strategies and career guidance professional development. Great news! Many of you may already know about the e-transcript exchange on OKcollegestart.org. Students can log on and fill out applications to Oklahoma colleges and universities and notify their Counselor to send an accompanying official transcript. What a time saver for Counselors!! Plus there are advantages in transcripts not being lost, no additional equipment is needed, and you can track when transcripts are received! And it’s FREE!!

More great news!! Your local technology centers have the opportunity to take part in this program and receive e-transcripts. H.S. Counselor’s will be able to send transcripts for students attending the technology centers directly to the Tech Center electronically! More time saved!! Technology Center Superintendents have until June 1, 2009, to decide to participate. If you would like to be able to send transcripts to the Technology Centers electronically as early as this summer, contact your TC Superintendent’s office and let them know you want them to participate.
