Gary is still checking on the $5000 “gift” that was sitting in Bill

The Haunting – Friday, October 24th, 6:30 (rain date is Oct 25)

30th Anniversary of Preserve: October 1984

Banner – 3 x7 foot to be installed on the side of the meeting house that faces London Tract Road with space to put Velcro sign to add any information that changes. Also had two lawn signs printed.

Carla will put out press release that announces the 30th anniversary

T-shirts in neon yellow and neon green – we need price point for T-shirts; printed for $8.00; we’ll sell for $10 each.

John Mackenzie – Mason/Dixon talk – Wednesday, October 22nd at New Garden Twp building at 7:30 (Watershed Association actual meeting). 7:00 pm social hour for members.

Carla will put out press release, Gerry will follow up with John Mackenzie

Wendel will attend social hour with trail map to talk with anyone who wants to know about the trail.

Take membership handout and Carla will put together an “infomercial” piece – up coming events, 30th Anniversary, Bill Morton’s retirement.

Adopt a Trail – Rick Phillips. Volunteer list is filled out. Not going long enough to report anything.

Thinking of starting a “Maintenance Network” so that trouble spots can be addressed. Especially since we share our Ranger with Ridley Park and he’s extremely busy.

Wendel will send link to Rick to send out to all volunteers who are Adopt a Trail folks to sign up

Tri State Trail:

Nine of 10 bridges are now complete. (Three successful Eagle Scout project so far)

40 different volunteers have complete 80% of the trail so far.

Will be several thousand dollars under budget. Kennett Mushroom & Dockstetter grant are all spent.

Mason-Dixon 250th Anniversary and TSM Trail Dedication – June 6, 2015 (also National Trails Day) –

Carla visited township today & reminded them about road/lot condition at Arc Corner – Chester County Conservation District has federal dollars that they give as grants for gravel road construction. Carla will write letter to remind Township of this need.

Would be nice to have some signage – Information Kiosks in the Preserve perhaps.

Educational Programs:

Stroud Water Researchprogram was not well attended but says scheduling in summer works better for this program.

Chris Hoess is back! Will connect with Carla for some spring programs.

Next meetings: November 3 (annual meeting), January 5, February 2 (No December meeting)
