  1. Dues: If you have not already paid dues, please turn them in to Erie ASAP! Dues are $5 and can be sent via campus mail to the Kappa House, handed to Erie, or left in the envelope in the English house.

Pipeline, send e-mail to English majors

  1. Pop, plates, napkins, cups (there are napkins in the English House) – Kristen will pick these up. Submit receipt and change to Erie.
  1. T-shirts—The following members still need to pay and to pick up their T-shirts: Becky Sutton, Adam Miller, Lindsay Hawley, Erie Roberts
  2. New Members: Cathy in the English House is getting the list.
  3. Room Change: Halloween party now in Henning Room.
  4. Book Club: Email Katie suggestions.
  5. Volunteer Project: Book drive for school in Indonesia trying to build a library. They want English books. We will determine legitimacy of school first. We are going to try to put a box outside the bookstore during the last week of classes so anyone who isn’t getting a lot of money for their books can donate them instead.
  6. Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort meeting—Meeting today at 4:30 in Hansen. Anne and Molly are going. Please join them!

NEW/CONFERENCE BUSINESS

  1. APO Volunteers: All shifts have been filled with at least 2 people.

  19. Invitations to STD alumni: Anne is working on getting a list of alumni who graduated in the last few years and might be interested in attending the conference.

  25. ISU—Val Olson and exec board
  26. Food – We received $350 for food from the region, and ISU will pick up the rest of the bill.
  27. Panelists – 1 panelist from ISU for each category
  28. Posters – ISU put them up around campus and are encouraging their own members to submit abstracts.
  29. Conference Journal and Ames display for the conference—future projects?

We will not have an Ames display this year, but something to consider for the future. Also consider doing a journal next year (or after the conference!).
