Foundation Coaching Classes in English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Communication Skill and Confidence Building

Dr. Babasaheb AmbedkarResearch and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune is an autonomous organization under the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra.

BARTI will beconductingFoundation Coaching Classes in English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Communication Skill and Confidence Buildingduring the summer vacations, from 16th April 2013 to 15 July 2013.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Students who have appeared for HSC|and preparing
    or undergraduate students who have passed HSC|forcompetitive
    or postgraduate students |examinations
  2. Students should be domicile of Maharashtra.
  3. Students should be fromSC, VJNT, SBC, or OBC communities.
  4. Students from Scheduled Tribes, Minority communities and Open category can also apply for the coaching classes and will be admitted to the coaching classes, subject to availability.
  5. 30% seats are reserved for female students.

English language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awarenessare the basic subjects in which SC students require intensive coaching. These are important subjects, the knowledge of which is essential for success in many competitive examinations including UPSC, MPSC, Bank Probationary Officer, Clerical Cadre in Banks, LIC, Railways, etc. Therefore, BARTI has decided to conduct these Foundation coaching classes to support students from Scheduled Caste, VJNT, SBC, and OBC communities.

This is a unique opportunity for students to strengthen their knowledge in these core subjects. This will enable them to make best use of the summer vacations and increase their chances of success in competitive examinations.

Coaching class batches:

Separate batches will be conducted for graduates and undergraduates.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the Foundation coaching classes will be conducted in two independent batches of five hours each as follows:

  • 9 am to 2 pm
  • 3 pm to 8 pm

Students can choose to apply for any one of the above batches according to their convenience and subject to availability of seats. This will give them sufficient time each day for self-study and recreation.

In addition, batches may be formed depending on the capacity of the students
(excellent / good / intermediate / weak / very weak) to maximize the effectiveness of coaching.

The classes will be conducted by a panel of excellent and experienced resource persons selected by BARTI.

Coaching class centres:

Complete list of institutes where the Foundation coaching classes are to be conducted will be put up soon.

All efforts will be made to ensure that students do not have to travel long distances to attend these coaching classes.

Interested and eligible studentsmay submit their applications in the prescribed format to BARTI to before 10April 2013by 5.00 pm.
