General Description
Ready-to-install decentralised ventilation unit for tilted installation behind a dividing wall, with high-efficiency sound absorber for supply and exhaust air and with direct connection to the facade including outside/exit air openings and weather protection grille with aerodynamic separation of supply and exhaust air conduction (available as accessory). For integration into a dividing wall. For decentralised ventilation (supply and return) directly via the facade, with heat recovery and controllable secondary air mode, without reheating the supply air in the unit. Minimum supply air temperature of 17 °C all year round
Complete airflow system with separate supply air / exhaust air box and air connection 1 x NW 280 mm (available as accessory). With highly-inductive LWK air diffuser combinations or LWE single diffusers to ensure high comfort through mixed/displacement air ventilation with excellent reduction of temperature differences and low indoor air speeds (available as accessory).
Low risk of the heat recoverer to freeze due to supply air temperature control via added secondary air. No deicing required by electrically preheating the outside air.
Twin-wall casing of galvanised sheet steel with a 40 mm insulation of mineral wool, covered on all sides. Casing cover at the side can be removed for maintenance.
Including system unit for operating FVS school ventilation units without an additional condensate line.
Specifications and classification acc. to VDMA Standard Sheet 24390
Technical data apply to free suction and diffusion.
A-weighted sound power sum level:
Sound power level LpA at 600 m³/h: 33 dB(A)*
*With average room absorption D1 = 12 dB and absorption D2 (3 dB) in the dividing wall (logarithmic addition of sound emission from housing and air-generated noise already taken into account)
Fans
Low-noise centrifugal fans with energy-saving, high-efficiency continuous-activation EC motors for outside air flow rates of 0...700 m3/h.
Electrical performance data for supply air and exhaust air fan:
for nominal flow rate of 600 m3/h130 W
power consumption with nominal flow rate0.88 A
power consumption max2.4 A
required back-up fuse10 A
fan connection230 V
speed activation (direct voltage0...10 V
At nominal flow rate the supply and exhaust air fan meet SFP Class 1 requirements (< 500 W/(m³/s)) with 390 W/(m³/s).
Air filter for outside and exhaust air
Fine filter class F7 for outside air to separate fine dusts and allergens contained in the outside air.
Exhaust air filter M5 to separate coarse dusts in the secondary air mode and to keep the heat recovery unit clean.
Filter marked with direction of air and filter type, field to enter the date of filter replacement (acc. to VDI 6022). Filters entirely made of synthetic composite without metallic contents, completely ashable.
Heat recovery unit
Counterflow plate heat exchanger made of corrosion resistant aluminium alloy with complete separation of air paths. Transmission of sensitive and latent heat without humidity or odour transfer.
Heat recovery rate (dry and wet) 83%.
Outside air/exit air dampers with weather protection grille
Combined outside air/exit air damper with electrical actuator to control the secondary air flow for on/off, de-icing and avoidance of icing, and supply air temperature limitation.
Outside air damper with thermal insulation, air-tight sealing acc. to DIN EN 1751 meeting tightness class 3 requirements. Automatic closing in case of power failure thanks to actuator with spring return. 40 mm mineral wool heat insulated, twin-shell casing.
Weather protection grille (available as accessory) with virtually short-circuit free separation of outside air and exit air, separation of rain. Rain water drainage sloping towards the weather protection grille.
Air diffusers (available as accessories)
Highly inductive LWE or LWK linear diffusers for wall installation and variable volumetric flows, generating a room flow with a high degree of thermal comfort while complying with the requirements stated in Cat. B, DIN EN ISO 7730 (as specified in VDI 6040).
The diffuser contour quickly reduces the outlet velocity and temperature differences; the outlets are supplied separately and are suitable for on-site installation (can be arranged in a line or as single diffusers).
Control
Complete, ready-to-use control, ready-to-mount wiring, integrated in the unit without operating panel, with plug-in connection and connection for central or decentralised activation as stand-alone solution. 4 operating modes (Eco, Comfort, nocturnal ventilation, forced ventilation) switchable via potential-free contacts. Indication of malfunction also via non-floating contact.
Alternatively, the operating modes can be controlled via separate timer programs on each unit or via a bus system (KNX-S mode, BACnet, LON, Modbus-RTU).
Supply air temperature control for free cooling during instruction time, monitoring of exhaust air to prevent icing of the heat recovery system.
Use of a reheater not necessary for generating a comfortable room flow, but possible as an option in order to control the supply air temperature over a broader range.
Controlled nocturnal ventilation with automatic switch-on after clearance, automatic switch-off if supply air temperature difference is too small or desired room air temperature has been achieved. Controller with Ethernet interface.
Easy amendment of parameters (such as CO2, temperatures, etc.) via service tool (optional).
Antifreeze
Not applicable if heat exchangers are not installed. Room cooling protection turns off unit if exhaust air temperature drops below limit temperature.
Hygiene
The unit’s inside is entirely lined with galvanised sheet steel.
All air-conveying components are partly detachable and accessible for
cleaning.
Filter, actuators and outside air damper are easily accessible for maintenance and repair via the side of the unit from the room.
Media connections
Power supply 230 V, 5 A.
Inputs for release.
Dimensions and installation
Suitable for plug-in installation in school rooms. Easy connection to the outer wall / facade, e.g. by window fitter. Possibility of meeting heat and sound insulation requirements. Modular design of the unit, i.e. flexibility thanks to transition lines on the facade, sound absorber and air conduction.
The unit is factory-wired and tested and will be supplied including complete control unit.
