JACKIE KJELLBERG WITH EXPERIENCE WORKS WORKING AT ARENA

Jackie Kjellberg was going to help out at the arena through Experience Works, but she did not get all of the information in to Experience Works that is required. So she will not be working at the arena and Carter would like to get someone else to help there on the weekends. Tyler Olson would like to have every other weekend off; we would need someone for 2 weekends a month.

Need to get signs made stating “No Drinking” & “No Smoking” and put up around arena.

JC GAMBLING LICENSE

Lund made a motion, seconded by Johnson to renew JC Gambling License

“GRYGLA” SIGN

Table decision - $5000 seems awfully high for a sign and looking for something cheaper

“QUALITY ON TOP”, AIRPORT SCHOOLING, CHAINSAW WORKSHOP

Johnson made a motion, seconded by Lund to register Carter for Quality on Top Conference first week in March for $120, unanimously carried. Carter is scheduled to go to Airport schooling in Rochester in April and Chainsaw training in Thief River Falls on February 12th.

COMMUNITY CENTER LEASE AGREEMENT NEEDS CHANGING

Need to contact the attorney, Delray Sparby, to see what needs to be done to change the lease so Diamond’s and Steak Knife could sell liquor at the Community Center. Right now the lease states that there shall be no sale of liquor on the premises. Rose needs to see if there should be two different agreements, one for public and one for private.

DIAMOND’S & STEAK KNIFE SELLING AT COMMUNITY CENTER

We need to have an attorney draw up an agreement for an establishment that already has their liquor license to be approved to sell at the Community Center for the year, so they don’t have to get council approval for each individual event.

POSTING COUNCIL MEETINGS

Need to post the agenda for each meeting on the front of the Civic Building and put “Open to the Public” on bottom. Need to post when the meetings are for the year on bulletin board stating 2nd Monday of each month at 8:00pm April – Oct and 7:00pm Nov – March, for daylight savings.

PARK PAYMENT TRANSFER

Nordby made a motion, seconded by Johnson to transfer $2500 from General Checking to MM for Park Payment for 2004 budget.

TREE NURSERY

Need to work up some land to start a new nursery this summer and order trees next year.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS & DECORATIONS

Johnson talked to Don Rindahl about doing a competition with his welding students making some type of iron work that we could cable tie lights to. We could take the winning one to someone and have duplicates made and put up on street lights. Still checking into possibilities of used decorations, from a few cities that have seen our ad in the League of Minnesota newsletter.

PARKING LOT FOR SLIDING HILL

School has given permission to make a parking lot

Sportsman Club to put up saying “Slow down, crossing area” and we need another to say “No Cars Beyond This Point”.

GARBAGE PICK UP IN TRAILER COURT

Letters need to be sent out stating they need to set out their garbage the night before, and set out by the road.

ADJOURNMENT

Klein made a motion and Johnson seconded to adjourn meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
