THREE NOTORIOUS INTERS STATE HIGHWAY ROBBERS ARRESTED.

STOLEN GOODS RECOVERED.

ACCUSED SANJAY IS A BC OF PS GULABI BAGH.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Insp. Richhpal Singh and consisting of SI Sanjay Neolia, HC Ajit, HC Sandeep, HC Jag Mohan, Ct. Bijender, Ct. Nitya Nand and Ct. Manoj under the supervision of ACP Bir Singh and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended three highway robbers. Stolen goods and a Van used for committing theft / robbery were recovered.

Information received on 09/10/2011 by HC Ajit that a gang of robbers wanted in a case of robbery of PS DBG Road would come at Lal Quan in a Maruti Van for disposing of stolen goods. On specific information a Maruti Van was intercepted and three persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Harbir (aged 35 years) s/o Santram r/o Andha Mughal, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, ii) Devender (aged 24 years) s/o Virender r/o Andha Mughal, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi and iii) Sanjay (aged 36 years) s/o Tulsi Ram r/o Andha Mughal, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi. The Maruti Van was seized. 7 rolls of rexin were recovered from the Maruti Van. The apprehension of the accused persons led to working out a case of robbery of PS D.B.G. Road.

All the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that all the accused persons are residents of Andha Mughal, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi and were known to each other since their childhood. They are school dropouts and came in contact with bad elements. Sanjay came in contact with criminals of J.J. Colony, Wazirpur, Delhi and started committing thefts and burglaries. He then with Harbir and Devender started committing petty thefts and then they started committing thefts and robberies of goods from Trucks. They used Maruti Van in committing theft/robbery and also used in transportation of stolen/robbed goods. They usually targeted the drivers/helpers who were taking rest after parking their truck in lonely place. They placed their Van close to the truck and commit theft of goods from it after cutting the ropes. If the driver/helper awake in between they overpowered them and held them captive.

Interrogation further revealed that on the intervening night of 01-02/10/2011 Harbir and Devender with their associates had robbed a truck loaded with cosmetic goods in the area of PS D.B.G. Road. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered at PS DBG Road. Since, the day of incident Harbir and Devender were evading the police dragnet. Harbir is previously involved in 6 cases of Attempt to murder, Molestation, NDPS Act, Arms Act, hurt and robbery of PS Gulabi Bagh, Delhi. Sanjay is a Bad Character of PS Gulabi Bagh, Delhi and previously involved in 16 cases of Theft, Arms Act, Burglary, hurt and robbery of various police stations of Delhi.

A desperate gang of robbers arrested.

Three country made pistols, 12live cartridges recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Sunil Kumar and consisting of SI Ravinder Verma, SI Ravinder Teotia, SI N.S.Rana, HC Dharmender, HC Vikram, HC Aas Mohd., Ct. Kusum Pal, Ct. Govind, Ct. Devender, Ct. Sajjad Ali, Ct. Ishwar and Ct. Virender under the supervision of ACP Udai Vir Singh Rathi and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended a gang of desperate robbers. 3country made pistols and 12 live cartridges were recovered. One Indica car has also been seized.

Information was received on 12/10/2011 by Ct. Sajjad that a desperate gang of robbers would come near Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, Rajpur Marg, Delhi in a Indica car.On this information a trap was laid and an Indica car was intercepted. 3 persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Abrar @ Guru (aged 25 years) s/o Akhlaqh @ Sagir Ahmed r/o Village Badruddin Nagar Nanu, PS Sardhana, Meerut, UP, ii) Wasim (aged 20 years) s/o Fazar Mohd. r/o Village Badruddin Nagar Nanu, PS Sardhana, Meerut, UP and iii) Abdul @ Abdulla s/o Ali Hasan r/o Village Khivai, PS Saroor Pur Khurd, Distt.Meerut, UP. The Indica car was seized. On verification the Indica car in which they were traveling was found to be stolen from the area of PS Mayur Vihar, Delhi. Three country made pistols and 12 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered.

All the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Abrar was earlier involved in more than 14 cases including dacoity, murder and robbery. He was earlier arrested in the year 2010 by UP police.During his custody in Abdulla Pur, Meerut Jail he came in contact with Abdul @ Abdulla who was also involved in more than 24 cases including robbery, murder, dacoity, arms act and gangster act. They both gradually developed good relations while in custody in Abdulla Pur Jail. About two months back, they both came out from the jail and were in constant touch with each other. They both were in great need of money and they planned to commit a robbery in Delhi. They also roped in Wasim co-villager of Abrar. However, prior to committing robbery, they were apprehended.

Interrogation further revealed that in the year 2006, Abrar along with his father and other associates had murdered theirGram PardhanSartaj along with his relative. Abrar and his father was arrested in this case. Abrar was later released on bailwhereas his father could not manage to get the bail as he was previously sentenced for life in another murder case. The murder case of deceased Sartaj is pending trial in Meerut court. Irfan (Brother of deceased Sartaj) is a prime witness and was pursuing the case in the court. Abrar decided to eliminate Irfan so that nobody else could dare to depose against them in the court of law. Abrar joined in Abdul and Wasim to execute his plans. The gang apart from intending to commit house robbery to augment their financial resources, were also actively planning the murder of Irfan.

Profile

Accused Abrar was born and brought up in village Badruddin Nagar, Nanu, Meerut, UP. He is a school dropout and had has a criminal back ground and involved in more than 14 criminal cases.

Accused Abdul @ Abdulla is also a school dropout and has a long criminal history and is earlier involved in more than 24 criminal cases.

Two killers arrested

Both wanted in sensational case of murder case of PS-Sahibabad (UP)

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Insp. K.P. Singh and consisting of SI P.C. Yadav, SI Rajinder, ASI Ragender, HC Narender, Ct.Vijender, Ct.Yogender, Ct. Vikal, Ct. Naresh and Ct. Devender under the supervision of ACP O. P. Yadav under the overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended two killers wanted in a murder case of PS Sahibabad, UP.

Information was received on 13/10/2011 by ASI Ragender that two persons wanted in a sensational case of murder of Mohit r/o Sahibabad, UP would be coming near Kalyan Puri Chowk Bus Stop, Kalyan Puri, Delhi to meet their associates. On specific information a trap was laid and two persons were apprehended. They were identified as 1) Sandeep @ Sardar (aged 21 years) s/o Babu Singh r/o Gangan Vihar, Ghaziabad, UP and 2) Manoj @ Kake (aged 22 years) s/o Prem Pal Singh r/o Gangan Vihar, Ghaziabad (UP).

Both the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that on 05/10/2011, Mohit (aged 18 Yrs) s/o Mool Chand r/o Sonia Vihar Nistauli, Sahibabad, Distt-Ghaziabad (UP) was returning to his home on foot from the market with his friends. When he reached near 25 Foota Road Gagan Vihar, Sandeep @ Sardar and Manoj @ Kake were standing in the way. Mohit asked them to give way and an altercation took place between both of them. On this Sandeep @ Sardar and Manoj @ Kake caught hold of Mohit and beat him mercilessly with iron rod and sticks. Tejpal a friend of Mohit was also injured in the incident. Mohit was taken to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. A case under appropriate sections of the law was registered at PS Sahibabad, UP.

Concerned police station of Sahibabad, UP has been informed about their arrest.

KINGPIN OF INTERSTATE HUMAN TRAFFICKING RACKET ARRESTED

With the arrest of one Rajesh Sharma @ Tilak Raj Sharma @ Gagan Kumar Bakshi, the staff of Janakpuri Police Station has busted an interstate racket of human trafficking. He has cheated hundreds of innocent persons from different parts of the Country on the pretext of sending them abroad. He is involved in a number of cheating cases ( more than 100) of the police stations of various parts of India and wanted in more than 80 cases.

INCIDENT

On 19.06.11, Sh. Shamsher Singh S/o Sardar Ranjit Singh R/o vikas No. Plot 6 Chharhataq Amritsar Punjab near Sipat Hostel lodged a complaint that in the month of March/ April, he noticed an advertisement in the News Paper “ JAGVANI” regarding requirement of 1500/1600 persons ( Carpenter, driver, operator, cook mason, plumber, helper) for Singapore. This advertisement was given by U.K. International, 802 Vishwadeep tower, Janakpuri. Accordingly, he contacted Ms. Bhati, the manager in U.K. International office at janakpuri and gave Rs. 5000/- on 06.06.11. Ms. Bharati took his passport and he was sent for conducting his medical examination from Gulf Medical Centre, 309 3rd floor Hemkunt Tower, Rajender palace where he paid Rs. 2,250/- for the Medical examination. On 16.06.11 Bharti asked him to deposit Rs. 15000/- for flight ticket. But despite contacting Bharti many times, he neither got flight ticket nor he was sent to Singapore. On 19.06.11, a number of persons gathered at District Centre janakpuri and Police party on patrolling noticed the resentment among the crowd and came to know about the fraud. On the complaint of shamsher Singh, a case vide FIR No. 186/11 dated 19.06.11 was registered in the police station Janak Puri u/s 406/420/468/467/471/120-B IPC. Accused Bharti Saini D/o Pritam chand Saini R/o C-106 Dayanand Colony lajpat nagar was arrested on the spot i.e. 19-06-11 and other accused Parmjeet , S/o. Parkash Ram, R/o. Soodh P.S.Behram Distt. SBS Nagar Punjab was arrested on 29.09.11. The kingpin Rajesh Sharma and other accused were at large.

TEAM AND INVESTIGATION

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, a team comprising Inspr. Hament Ahlawat, ATO/ Janakpuri, SI.Sikandar Rao, HC. Rajender, HC. Ombir and Ct Kuldeep headed by Sh. H.S.P. Singh, SHO/ janakpuri under the close supervision of Dr. R.G.Naik ACP/V. puri was constituted to nab the kingpin Rajesh Sharma and other Co-accused. During the interrogation of the accused persons arrested earlier it came to light that Rajesh Kumar Sharma was the kingpin of the racket.

He was so clever that he did not disclose his identify to his co-accused and there was no clue of him, His employees used to handover the collected money at Mumbai Airport to him and after delivering the amount they used to return back. His associates did not know the whereabouts of the Rajesh Sharma. Numbers of raids were conducted at Bombay in search of this main accused. On the instance of the accused Bharti, the portrait of accused Rakesh Sharma was prepared and there was only portrait of Rajesh Sharma available with the Police to trace him in Mumbai and this was a challenging task for the Police to trace him. Sources/ informers were deployed and with the help of technical surveillance and photograph, also sincere efforts by the staff, Rajesh Kumar was tactfully nabbed from his residence at Borivali, Mumbai and arrested in the case.

During sustained interrogation of the accused, it came to the light that he changed his name as Gagan Kumar bakshi, and he studied up-to 3rdstandard. He went to Soudi Arabia and Dubai in the year of 1992. He worked there for 6 months. Then he worked with a manpower agent in Mumbai and sent persons to foreign countries for employment. But after dispute over distribution of money, he started his own business for sending person abroad and started cheating the people. He opened his office in the name of SN Tour and Travel. He cheated a number of persons and earned huge amount worth and 1st case was registered at Lamdar jallandhar. After that, more than 100 cases of cheating were registered against Him. He opened his office at various place at Jallandhar, Hoshiyarpur, Nava Shahar, Chandigarh. Then he went to Mumbai and opened his office there to cheat the innocent persons in the pretext of sending them abroad for employment. In Delhi, he also opened his office at Rajouri Garden,

Rajender Place, Distt. Centre Janakpuri. From Janakpuri office, he cheated a number of persons hailing from different l parts of the Country on which instant case was registered.

Further interrogation, it came to the light he is declared as PO in more than 80 cases and from 2004 he has not been attending the Court. He has been involved in the cases from Ambala, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Dosuha, Hoshiyarpur, Khamano ( Fatehgarh Sahab) Bhatinda, jaipur, Bombay, Delhi etc. he also escaped from the Police custody from Civil Hospital Jalandhar in the Year 2004.

With the ill gotten money, Rajesh Sharma purchased two flats in Mumbai and 67 vehicles for his tourist company.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON.

  1. Rajesh Sharma @ tilak Raj Sharma @ Gagan Kumar Bakshi aged 42 years is having wife, two daughters and one son in his family who are residing in Mumbai. He originally belongs to Lamdar, Jallandhar and studied up-to 3rdstandard only.He also contested in the MLA election as a candidate of a reputed party in the year of 1997 from Jallandhar City.

Further Investigation to effect the recoveries and to nab the remaining accused is in progress. Staff involved is being suitably rewarded.

CHEAT JEWELLER ARRESTED

With the arrest of one Govind Narayan Johri S/O Late Sh. Balwant Johri R/O C-7, Prathvi Raj Road, C-Scheme Jaipur Rajesthan Age 50 Years, the police personnel of New Friends Colony Police Station, South-East District under the supervision of Sh. Data Ram, ACP/New Friends Colony and under the leadership of Inspector Sunil Kumar Singh, SHO/New Friends Colony and Insp. Harendra Singh have worked out a high profile cheating case registered vide FIR No. 218/11 u/s 420 IPC in Police Station New Friends Colony.

CASE BACKGROUND

Mrs. Kiran Nadar W/o Mr. Shiv Nadar R/o 44, Friends Colony (East), New Delhi came into contact with Mr. Govind Johri a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan in the year 1999. He represented and introduced himself as a leading Jeweller dealing in precious gems, stones and jewels. He further represented that he was into this business for the last several years and was heaving various clients from the elite society of Delhi and royal families of Rajasthan. The jewellery was presented in a very attractive manner to the prospective buyers. On such representations she started purchasing Jewellery from him in the belief that she was purchasing precious stones embedded in antique jewellery which belonged to erstwhile royal families. She purchased a lot of jewellery from him. Accused used to bring the jewellery himself to her house. Finding this jewellery attractive Mrs. Kiran Nadar and her husband Mr. Shiv Nadar used to purchase the same. On each occasion, the accused assured her that the jewellery sold by him was embedded with original stones and gems of the best quality. Believing his words and genuine assurance, she kept on purchasing jewellery from him. Recently she came to know that the accused was in fact dealing in fake jewellery. On getting suspicious, she got her necklaces checked from gem testing laboratory situated at Indian Gemological Institute, F-32, Jhandewalan Flatted Factories complex, Rani Jhansi Road New Delhi (A Government of India approved Institute ) and found that the jewellery is not of the kind as claimed by the accused. She paid money to accused for best quality Ruby emerald etc. but in its place he gave her low quality stones of no value. Hence, this case is registered.

MODUS OPERANDI

Accused Govind Narain Johri was born in a rented house in Jaipur Rasjasthan and completed his 10th class in Jaipur in 1975. After leaving his school he started his business and after some days he went to England in 1986 and stayed there up to 1994. After returning to India he again started his business and contacted rich businessman offering to sell precious gems, stones and jewels. He used to represent that he is into this business for the last several years and is having various clients from the elite society of Delhi and Rajasthan. From a bare look the jewellery looked very attractive. He told her that he basically deals into precious stones, Diamonds, Ruby etc and antique jewellery belonging to the erstwhile Royal Families of Rajasthan.

The accused was arrested from Jaipur and brought to Delhi. He will be produced before the court today.
