Medical Microbiology: Microscopic investigation, aseptic techniques and bacterial isolation and cultivation, ELISA, PCR technique, DNA and RNA extraction. Agarose gel electrophoresis, gel filtration and chromatography (gas, thin layer and high performance liquid). Fluorescent antibody technique.Immunoflurescene technique. Gel retardation assays. Ethidium Bromide displacement assay. Routine maintenance of laboratory.
Dentistry: Root canal preparation, creating access cavity, use of root canal files to shape the canal and cleaning the root canal with chemical and mechanical means to. Use of gutta-percha to take microbiological samples.

Languages: fluent in English, Arabic and Kurdish.
Computing: computer literate, able to use spreadsheet, word excel and Microsoft word.
Report writing& research skills: I have written experimental reports for presentations. I have also undertaken my BSc dissertation at the University of Portsmouth, and my MSc thesis that led me to use a broad range of research material including scientific journals and internet for sufficient literature searching. Gained experience in communication both English and biological terms by presentation of an accurate, concise and relevant report. The ability to work under pressure, meeting deadline, good time keeping and organizational skills. This research also allowed me to work in a laboratory environment and to use all the equipment needed to achieve the goal of the dissertation.
