Faculty PhD Support Top-Up Fund
In addition to the minimum level of School support for PhD students of £500 over 3 years (full time), the Faculty is also introducing a top-up fund to support exceptional requests for support above that level. This might be for one-off activities such as specialized training, the presentation of papers at overseas conferences, or visits to overseas archives. Applications should be made using the form below (1-2 pages maximum) in consultation with the principal supervisor (and supervisory Chair if different), who must comment on and endorse the application. The application should then be emailed to the School Director of Graduate Studies, who will review the application. Once approved by the School, the form should be emailed to the Faculty Director of Graduate Studies (copied to Carol George) who will decide on the application. The costs of such additional support, if approved, will be shared equally between the Faculty and the relevant School.
