Proyecto de Redención
You may do a project to receive 10 points extra to your overall grade average, or to bring any failing test grade up to passing. This project must meet the following requirements.
- Must contain 10 sentences in Spanish including the five listed below.
Hola, yo soy______. Estoy aquí. Estoy feliz. Tengo un proyecto. Voy a presentarlo a ustedes. Ayer, fui a mi casa para prepararlo.
These sentences can be read from an index card, however, they must be rehearsed.
2. Must be interactive. There must be some way to engage the other students, such as a game, or some other attention grabber.
3. The presentation must be 3 to 5 minutes long.
4. You will be graded on creativity and the amount of effort that was put into it. A sloppy job that seems thrown together at the last minute will not get full credit.
5. The following are suitable for a project
Game over the vocabulary words that are on the flashcards or other common vocabulary words.
Teach a rhyme or song that teaches the current vocabulary
Prepare and bring a food from a Spanish Speaking country and teach the other students how to make it or about the culture and history behind it.
Teach a dance from a Spanish speaking country.
Or teach about something that you know how to do, except Speak only in Spanish…
You can make a video and play it in class. You do not have to memorize it, but please rehearse ahead of time.
You may do a group project, but all members must participate equally.
In order to qualify for this project, you must write your name and period number and turn this sheet in.

Extra credit….For 5 points added to a test grade you may watch one of the following movies in Spanish and write a handwritten essay in Spanish (you can use google translate or a dictionary).
The house at the end of time, La casa de espiritus, María, llena eres de gracia, Pan's Labyrinth Apocalypto (this movie is not in Spanish, but that is okay)
You must have a parent write a note to give permission to watch the movie, and you must have some sort of evidence that you watched the movie along with the 10 sentence essay.
- Please tell how this movie relates to Spanish or Latin American culture. Tell one thing that you recognized, one thing that was new, and one thing that shocked you.
Maximum 5 points per test. Maximum 15 points per quiz or daily work grade.
