• A well-written notice must inform the readers about the 5 Ws:
— What is going to happen, (that is, the event)
— Where it will take place
— When it will take place (that is, the date and time)
— Who can apply or is eligible for it
— Whom to contact or apply to (that is, the issuing authority)

HINTS FOR WRITING NOTICE:
- A notice must contain full information.
- Don’t forget to mention the time, date, venue and agenda.
- A notice is generally written in the third person.
- Give the notice a suitable heading or title. Put it in the middle. The heading should be written in capital letters.
- The date should be shown on the left-hand side.
- A notice must carry signature and designation at the end. The designation should be put in parenthesis.
- Always write the notice in a box.

IMPORTANT POINTS:
- A message should begin with a brief salutation like Mr. Sharma, Dear Uncle/Mama/ Daddy, etc. whom the message is meant for.
- There is no address.
- Only relevant matter should be written.
- Time and Date of the message must be mentioned. Do mention the time of the message received.
- Do not add anything else on your own.
- Put your name at the end of the message.
- Write your message in reported speech only.
- There’s no need of writing the address of the receiver of the message.
- Put the message in a box.

Tips for writing Bio- Sketch
- Mention the dates of events precisely
- Write the name of the person (whose profile is written) in the very first line.
- Use simple and lucid language.
- Discuss all the important events related to the person’s life/character/perception.
- Do not add any information from your side.

5. DIALOGUE WRITING
The actual words of the speakers are to be written against the names of the speakers. The following are the tips to write effective dialogues.
- Simple and lucid language.
- Avoid using technical terms.
- Informal manner
- Proper beginning, middle and end.
- Do not use unnecessary adjectives.
- Be to the point, polite tone.
- Always keep in mind the situation of the conversation.
- Take of the verb forms according to the situations.
6. E-MAIL WRITING
Tips to write e-mail.
- Rarely use capital letters.
- Avoid using graphics.
- Keeps your margins wide.
- Do not use very informal language, incomplete sentences, sms or text language.
- Use contracted verb forms.
- Use a short informative subject line, not single general words.
