A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO PUBLICLY RECOGNIZE AND THANK MR. HARRY S. (JU JU) HUTSON, JR., OF HARDEEVILLE FOR HIS LEADERSHIP IN AND SERVICE TO HIS COMMUNITY, COUNTY, AND STATE OVER A PERIOD OF MANY YEARS.
Whereas, Harry S. (Ju Ju) Hutson, Jr., is one of the most respected civic and community leaders in the Town of Hardeeville and Jasper County;
Whereas, Ju Ju Hutson was born on August 14, 1924, and was a combat veteran of World War II who was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge; and
Whereas he married his lovely wife Mildred on February 2, 1955, and together they have loved and supported each other for almost fifty years; and
Whereas, Mr. Hutson is widely respected as a successful businessman and former postal official. In addition, he has been deeply involved in education as a teacher and coach and also is known throughout the Jasper County area as an outstanding speaker and lay preacher; and
Whereas, Ju Ju Hutson has devoted his life to teaching athletic skills, a sense of fair play and decency, and Christian values to the young people of Hardeeville; and
Whereas, seldom has a person done as much for his community, county, and state as has this outstanding man; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and commend Harry S. (Ju Ju) Hutson, Jr., for all he has done to make Hardeeville and Jasper County a better place to live, work, play, and worship. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, publicly recognize and thank Mr. Harry S. (Ju Ju) Hutson, Jr., of Hardeeville for his leadership in and service to his community, county, and state over a period of many years.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Harry S. Hutson, Jr.
