Planning security: The first “breathing” small distributor

Gives condensation no chance!

The new AK Air surface-mounted small distribution board from Spelsberg has amazed the sector with entirely new characteristics. Real standouts among them are the integrated Air ventilation elements – a world first, which finally reliably prevent the formation of condensation inside the enclosure.

Now the innovative Air technology is for the first time supporting the exchange of air, which reliably prevents moisture from forming inside the unit. It also ensures permanent pressure equalization between the enclosure interior and the surroundings. It does so while maintaining the high protection class of IP65. The Air ventilation elements are maintenance-free and also guarantee 100% protection against foreign bodies.

However, the new distribution board also has a lot to offer besides: the VDE and UL-certified small distribution board is manufactured entirely from highly-resistant polycarbonate. The focus test of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) confirms resistance to stable air for at least 20 years. This expands the application fields ranging from indoor and outdoor installations to industrial and agricultural buildings.

AK small distribution boards now offer a "Plus" in terms of connection space

Behind the name AK Plus, they conceal additional connection space, with a 35 mm standard rail that easily accommodates terminal blocks or switchgear and control units. Additional connection space above or below the rail mounted devices can also be exploited. The top section offers the possibility to install command/signalling devices or measuring devices. This makes AK Plus an interesting option, especially for typical industrial applications.

For special solutions, Spelsberg has also developed the AK-F Plus flange variants. These offer all the advantages of the AK Plus – except that they are open on the ends and can be provided with different flanges, or multiple AK distribution boards can be combined end-to-end, making it very easy to implement the individual wishes of customers.

As with AK distribution boards, the AK Plus variants are also VDE, UL EU and DLG certified.

Even the jury of experts at the iF DESIGN AWARD were convinced by the latest from Spelsberg. It had a choice of 5000 submissions from 53 countries and honoured the AK small distribution board with its renowned quality seal in the category of Building.
