Subject: New Instructor Workload System Communications

Hello,

As promised in our first communications memo dated March 13, 2014, we will implement a robust communications and training to support and assist you with the transition to the new Academic Activities Reporting (AAR) system. This effort will include a web page and new training resources.

The Office of Institutional Planning and Research (OIPR) has developed a web page located at http://ir.aa.ufl.edu/aar for us to continue communicating with you. The intent of this web page is to keep you informed of the progress of the project, to announce new developments, to share the time line of the project, and direct you where to go if you have questions. We will also explain how you can help us by providing feedback on how the new system is working.

Our goal is that when you have a question, you’ll have simple, accessible places to go for answers. The OIPR web page will also contain a link to HRS new training programs.

As you know the new AAR system is in development now, with the first versions being tested. Go Live for the new system is planned for the Fall 2014 term. In the meantime, we will be holding information sessions with each of the colleges, and we encourage you to attend to learn more and get answers to any questions you may have.

Any questions you have regarding the new AAR system or its implementation can be directed to me or to Armando Ramirez in the Office of Institutional Planning and Research.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support of this important initiative.

Sincerely,

Dr. Marie E. Zeglen, Ph.D.

Assistant Provost and Director of Institutional Planning and Research
