Department: Power I (Sallisaw Campus)

Reports To: Power I Program Specialist

Available Positions: 1

Pay Rate: $7.25/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular clerical and administrative duties pertaining to the operation of the Power I program. These duties include filing, copying, answering the phone, interacting with students, running on campus errands, and assisting students with microcomputer applications and other computer related questions. Good attendance/punctuality is a necessity.

Other Duties:

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. Students employed by the Power I program may be exposed to confidential student information and are expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times. Students must also be able to operate a copier/scanner, understand a numerical and alphabetical filing system, work independently, proficient in Microsoft Word and other basic computer skills. Basic math tutoring skills a plus.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of a Power I Office Assistant/Tutor, the employee may occasionally be required to stand. The employee is regularly required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:

The work environment is of a professional nature. Employees will be expected to dress in a manner fitting of an office setting. Students may wear jeans (no cuts or tears) and a nice shirt. No shorts will be allowed. Clothing must be kept in a neat and professional manner.

Schedule:

Must be eligible to work fourteen (14) hours a week as a Federal Work-Study, and we are willing to work around class schedule.
