A.  Davidson News- Mr. Sanders

  1. We have been named an A+ school for the 16th year in a row. There are 9 components that make up the breakdown score for the school grade.
  1. Mr. Sanders discussed how voting members of SAC are nominated and then elected to participate in SAC. He also explained that last year we had 21 voting members of SAC and as of this meeting, 2 members had contacted Mr. Sanders asking to be removed from the SAC. Which left a count of 19 voting members. This SAC meeting had 13 voting members present and Mr. Sanders plans to make phone calls to the members that were not present and inquire as to whether or not they plan on staying a voting member of SAC. Because of the opening of at least 2 voting positions, Mr. Sanders explained the process for nominating and electing voting members of SAC. The way SAC works is that voting members are elected by the body they represent, i.e. teachers elect teachers, parents elect parents, and community members elect community members. Mr. Sanders plans on sending a letter out to the student body to illicit nominations of interested persons for the SAC committee, each term is 3 years.
  1. Finalize SAC Meeting Times- We will keep this year’s SAC meetings at 3:00pm
