Awarded AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2012 – 2013

Receiving industry recognition, Bodysgallen Hall is now the proud owner of the title ‘AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2012-2013’. This award joins a long list of other recent awards making Bodysgallen Hall the ideal hotel in North Wales for a unique break.

The AA Hospitality Awards, hosted this year by Kate Silverton, saw the great and good of the country’s hospitality industry come together to celebrate not only the amazing achievements of the individuals and establishments receiving recognition for outstanding excellence in their field but also 20 years of the iconic AA Restaurant Guide.

Ideally situated as a base for exploring and discovering some of Europe’s most attractive scenery, including views encompassing the sweep of the Snowdonia range of mountains, Bodysgallen Hall & Spa is a destination within itself. Standing in over 200 acres of its own parkland to the south of Llandudno with 13th century origins, Bodysgallen Hall provides all that is best in country house hospitality.

A total of 31 spacious bedrooms split between the house (15 bedrooms) and cottage suites (16) are available. Each of the bedrooms has been individually furnished and decorated with antique furniture and works of art enjoying glorious views over Bodysgallen’s parkland or gardens. Several cottage suites benefit from their very own private gardens.

The gardens have been recognised for their award winning restoration. Featured within the estate’s grounds are a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, naturally occurring limestone outcrops, a rockery with a cascade, a walled garden, lily-pad ponds and several follies. The gardens also feature a formal rose gardens and a number of well-established and interesting trees and shrubs including medlar and mulberry.

After exploring the grounds guests can enjoy the Bodysgallen Spa which comprises a spacious swimming pool, steam room, sauna, solarium, gym, relaxation room, treatment rooms and a club room where you can enjoy light refreshments.

Visitors to Bodysgallen are also invited to enjoy fine cuisine and have a choice of two restaurants with fine dining in The Dining Room and informal dining in Bistro 1620. The impressive Dining Room restaurant overlooks the gardens within which guests can enjoy imaginative British cuisine which has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes. All food is prepared from the best and freshest local produce.
