Teacher – District Assessment Reports

Review Reteach/Enrichment for a Test

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Student Tracking button.
  1. Select a Class, and then click on the Grading Period in which you want to view an assessment.
  2. The Grading Period will expand to show all assignments within that period.
  1. Right-click over the name of an assessment and select Reteach/ Enrichment for a quick snapshot of student performance by objective.

Note:
  • This shows which students Met Expectations or were Below Expectations for each objective assessed.
  • Clicking on a student’s name will take you to the Student Information screen, where you can access that student’s schedule, contact information, assessment history and more.

  • The View Questions link displays each question associated with the objective, along with which students answered each question correctly or incorrectly.
  • The Resources/Activities section displays any resources entered by the district and associated with that objective

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Reports button.
  1. Select the desired reporting level.
Note:
  • A selection is required for each section except for those indicated as optional.
  • If the section says “choose one” only one item may be selected.

  1. Complete the report filter and click the Run Report button.

Using the Other Demographic Filter

The “Other Demographic Indicators” field allows you to run reports on sub-populations within the district, campus, or classroom.

  1. Check the “Include filter” button to activate the filter.
  2. Choose “Any”or “All” to designate how you would like the data returned.
  3. Select the desired groups to include in your report.

Note: When you select “Any”, the report will include students who meet any one of the demographic indicators selected. When you select “All”, the report will include students who meet all of the demographic indicators selected.

Instructions: In the space provided, write or create a Venn diagram to represent which groups would be included on a report if Economically Disadvantaged, Gifted, and LEP were selected.

  1. The District Dashboard with district benchmark data will automatically load upon logging in to EdPlan.
  2. Displayed is summary information at the user’s highest level of access.
Note:
  • District Administrators see headers for Elementary School, Middle School, High Schools, and Specialist Schools.
  • Campus Administrators see their campus name.
  • Teachers see their name.
  • Hyperlinks (underlined text) indicate fields where you can click to drill down.

Met Standard Analysis(home screen)

Displays the percent and count of students who met the passing standard (cut score) for the district benchmarks within each subject area.
Depending on your level, you can begin drilling down to view results by schools, teachers, or classes. District administrators may select the desired campus level type to view the results by school. Campus administrators may select their campus name to view the results by teachers at their school. Teachers may select the hyperlink for their name to view their classes.

Note:

  • The parameters at the top work as a guide to what data is included in the view.
  • The pie chart on the right will update with each click on a score.
  • You can hide a group from the pie chart, stacked chart, or column chart by clicking on the group you wish to remove from the display.

Met Standard Analysis, By Student

Displays for each student, the percent of tests where the student has met the passing standard (cut score) for the district benchmarks within a subject area(s) or course.

Met Standard Analysis, By Test

When you drill down from a subject area and pick a course, you will see the tests administered. This display will show the percent and count of students who met the passing standard (cut score) for the district benchmarks within a subject area(s) or course.

In the example below, a district or campus administrator has drilled down to Mathematics and selected 3rd Grade Mathematics ad can see the teachers at the grade level who administered the BOY assessments.

Item Analysis

Item Analysis reports display the percent of students who answered each question correctly as well as a summary for everyone at that level.

In the example below, a district or campus administrator can see the percent of correct answers for each teacher who administered the 2013_HISD_BOY_G4_MAT. A teacher could not see other teachers, but could see his/her classes side by side.

Objective Analysis

Objective Analysis reports display the percent of students who met or exceeded the passing standard for the objective. The report displaces the number of questions for each test along with the mastery threshold (number required to meet pass) for each standard measured by the assessment.

Item Distribution Analysis

Objective Analysis reports display the distribution of multiple choice answers for each question on an assessment. The correct answer is indicated by an asterisk (*).

Report Filters

The Reports Filter tab allows the user to changed the default settings and rerun the dashboard with the new filter selections. For example, the District Dashboard is defaulted to show only district benchmark and formative assessment data. You may choose, however, to change the test level to “campus” and “classroom” and click the “Run Report” button which will now display information for your campus created assessments.

Note: The next version of DDR will allow the user to save the report filter settings to create a custom dashboard.

  1. From the Main Menu, click Data Export button.
  1. Select the desired export file to view the report filter options for this export.
  2. Complete the filter and click the Run Report button.
  1. When the process has completed, the Data Export Results screen will display the file to open or save.
  2. To export another test, close the screen and repeats steps #2-3.

Note:

  • If the section says “choose one” only one item may be selected.
  • The District Exam Export provides one line for each student who took the test and includes Test Name, Student ID, Campus ID, Campus Name, Teacher ID, Teacher Name, Class Name, Submit Date, Student First Name, Student Middle Name, Student Last Name, Gender, Final Score, and objective information for each objective assessed (Obj ID, Obj Ref, Number of Questions on test, Number Questions Correct).
