Celebrate New Year’s Weekend at the Fabulous

ANTIQUES SHOW AT THE BIRCHWOOD MANOR

—January 2 & 3, 2016 —

Whippany, NJ — The rich tradition of spending New Year’s weekend shopping, admiring and collecting at the beautiful Birchwood Manor Antiques Show returns this January 2 and 3, 2016. New Jersey’s longest running antiques show, this year’s event will be larger and lovelier than ever. Showcased inside the elegance of the Birchwood Manor mansion in Whippany, NJ, will be the finest antique furniture, fine art, posters and prints, decorative art, sterling, porcelain, lighting, jewelry, collectibles and much more. This important event will offer something for every passion and price range.

Among the new exhibitors to the show this January will be Auerbach & Maffia of Montgomery, PA. Specialists in Modernist jewelry and 20th century fine art and design objects, their particular focus is on fine art examples from the New Hope Modern School.

J & M Antiques of east Amherst, NY, specializes in rare 19th century lighting with important offerings of Student Lamps by premier makers such as Griffin, Manhattan Brass Co. and Tiffany.

Furthering the early and very interesting will be offerings by Bernie Krauss and Mimi Gunn who is known for her both decorative and eclectic antiques including Americana and the highly popular folk art. For those with an ear for music will be will be Rita Ford Music Boxes of New York City. Since 1947, they have specialized in the sale and restoration of the finest antique and vintage music boxes available.

Turning to the far east, will be the works from Lao Design of New York City who creates stunning Laotian inspired clothing fashioned from vintage silk and textiles – a truly beautiful approach to repurposing. Featuring the finest Asian antiques, furniture and art will be Mah Jongg, Marvin Baer and Marty Schneider.

Fine art, spanning both the continents and periods, will be offered by Art & Antique Gallery and Jaffe & Thurston. In antique rugs, the finest in these works of art in weaving will be showcased inside the booth of Fardins Antique Rugs.

Rounding out the exceptional antiques and collectibles will be crystal and art glass from Memories plus many more antiques exhibitors that will showcase the finest vintage and estate jewelry, sterling, porcelain, glass, decorative pieces and so much more.

Among the special features offered will be china mending service, porcelain and pottery restorations by Louis Pirello, silver matching services and appraisals will be performed by Linda Roberts for $5 per item. Gourmet food and refreshments will be available throughout both days of the show.

The New Year’s Antiques Show at the Birchwood Manor invites all lovers of history, beauty, art and design to immerse themselves in this very special shopping, collecting and interior design event.

Admission is $8 with free return privileges ($1 discount coupon available at www.jmkshows.com) and parking is free and plentiful. Hours for the show are Saturday. 10am to 6pm and Sunday, 11am to 5pm.
