Responsible to: / Senior Day Centre Officer
Job Purpose: / §  To carry out such domestic duties as required in the unit by the Senior Staff in order to maintain a clean environment, to serve meals and to assist with personal care for service users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: / §  To carry out domestic tasks as required by Senior Staff
§  To operate industrial/domestic equipment according to Health and Safety Procedures
§  To carry out personal care tasks for service users
§  To serve meals with attention to good presentation
§  Basic food preparation
§  To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
§  To attend training courses, as required.
§  To work within statutory and service Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Other Duties: / §  The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post.
§  Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time.
Health & Safety: / Health & Safety is an integral part of any role within the Highland Council. As such we would expect that all employees:
§  Be familiar with Violent Incident and Accident reporting procedures and comply with them.
§  Have an understanding of elementary food hygiene procedures
§  Have an understanding of the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace, and familiarise themselves with the Highland Council’s Health & Safety Procedures.
