CNIB Young Centenary Competition

CNIB clients ages six to 16 are invited to join in and celebrate CNIB's 100th Anniversary! Share your passion while exploring the history of CNIB and how the organization has transformed over the years.

CNIB Saskatchewan is holding a competition to showcase the talents of our kids! Your mission is to research, produce and present a short three-to-four-minute video on the impact that CNIB has had in your life and how it has evolved over 100 years.

Use your creative side and make it a documentary, news story, interview or play. Your goal is to make your audience excited about CNIB, the role we have played your life and in Canada's history, celebrate CNIB 100 years and the role we will play for the next 100 years!

Video's will be judged by a selection committee who will look for impact, content, creativity, style, professionalism and timing (no more than three to four minutes).

What's in in for you?

  • All entries will receive a CNIB 100 Years Young Centenary T-shirt and a gift card
  • The Winner will receive a free iPad Pro 12.9", a $500 Visa Gift Card for travel, one night’s accommodation on March 21, 2018 in Saskatoon the opportunity to attend CNIB's 100th Anniversary Celebration where the winning video will be aired!
  • The Winner will be announced by February 16th, 2018!

Video Submissions must contain:

  • A completed participant registration form with a headshot photo to be emailed to
  • A bumper at the start of the video that is CNIB's 100 Years logo. This clip can be downloaded here.
  • A signed Interview ReleaseForm for anyone in the video including you! This release can be downloaded here.
  • An intro stating your first name only and where you are from and a short description of your eye condition
  • How CNIB has impacted your life
  • A link to Video Tips is included in the Participant Guidelines can be downloaded here.
  • Descriptive video

Send us your Video:

  • CNIB will be using Dropbox, a free file sharing program to send and receive videos. A parent or guardian can set up a free drop box account. When the video is in Dropbox, you can share the file with email address
  • The deadline for receipt of videos is Monday, December 18th, 2017 at Noon!
  • Remember – signed Interview Release forms must accompany your video for anyone featured in your video including yourself!
