Dear Parents
At The Brow School we celebrate the children’s enquiry based, creative curriculum and enrich it with experiences through learning outside of the four walls of the classroom. We place great emphasis on learning in the outdoors using the school grounds and places further afield. The experiences are carefully planned based on the children’s interests after consulting with them directly.
Many of our children benefit from a wide range of trips to venues and locations around the school to enhance aspects of their curriculum. Class teachers sometimes arrange for the children to meet a wide range of visitors which may include our parents and members of the school community. Some regular visitors come into school every year or visit every Key Stage at some point.
The children may be visited by a range of sports and dance experts, people dressed as characters from historical periods, authors or poets, visitors supporting PSHE work such as police or health professionals, representatives of faiths and maybe artists or illustrators.
This letter is to inform yourselves of some of the proposed class visits and planned visitors for your child’s class over the next year. Please note these may change dependent on the direction the learning takes the class. If any of our parents or members of our school community are able to support us in school by being a visit to talk about their career with the children, sharing a hobby or supporting on class visits then please speak to myself or your child’s class teacher as we value the role of our parents as educators too in the children’s lives.
Yours sincerely
Mrs. Cottam
