Michigan / The Board's philosophy is to try to get a sponsor to pay the bill, then charge just enough to make members feel a commitment to attend once they RSVP. As long as costs are covered, they don't care about making money. Fees range from $15–$25 for a program. It is $15 when there is a sponsor, and $25 when there is not. We always set the price at whatever rate will cover the costs, without regard for "profit."
Non-members are charged either $5 or $10 higher than members. Potential members will often be offered the member rate.

Westchester/Southern Connecticut (WESFACCA) / We generally charge about $20 per CLE credit; Two credits is $40, but I might decrease the price thereafter – ie 3 hours for $50 depending on the location and costs. About the highest we have charged is $75 and that was for a 4-hour program that included breakfast and lunch. We also are looking at increasing our prices, so that we can make more money and perhaps do bigger programs and not as many of the small ones, because most of our members are generalist. The programs can conflict with each other when there are 2 a week or even 4 a month.
As for non-members we charge between $20-30 more, but we encourage non member in-house people to attend at member price to get them started. If they don’t join, we need start charging the additional amount.

WMACCA / Right now, the vast majority of our WMACCA programs are free of charge (to members and prospects). But our monthly signature programs, and the luncheons that one of our committees holds at Maggiano's, have a MODEST $35 or $40 member fee ($50 for non-members) to cover the cost of the meal. And most of those come with 1.0 hours of MCLE credit - so it's an incredibly low-cost
