Respect Life Sunday - October 2, 2011

· Diocesan Mass for Life 10:00 a.m., Basilica of St. John the Evangelist, Stamford
Bishop William E. Lori will be the principal celebrant and homilist for the Diocesan Mass for Life at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist. United in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, we will offer all our intentions on behalf of the protection and promotion of the sacredness of all human life. A reception will follow with light refreshments. All are welcome to join us in celebrating God’s sacred gift of life!
· Stamford Life Chain 11:30 – 2:00 p.m. Atlantic St. & Tresser Blvd.
This will follow the Diocesan Mass for Life at St. John’s in Stamford at the intersection of Atlantic Street and Tresser Boulevard in downtown Stamford.
United to thousands of communities across the whole country, join us in intercessory prayer and silent witness to the sacredness of human life to all who pass by.
· Danbury Life Chain 2:30-3:30pm Main St.
This annual Life Chain will take place on Main St. (corner of West St.) Danbury, on Sunday, October 2, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. rain or shine. The Danbury Life Chain is part of a nationwide prayerful witness to the sanctity of life held every first Sunday in October. Participants pray the Rosary of Reparation and hold signs which read: "Adoption: The Loving Option," "Abortion Hurts Women", "Jesus Forgives and Heals," among others. · All Life Matters at Shelton Day 10am-5pm between White St. & Bridge St.
The Pro-Life Committees of St. Joseph and St. Lawrence are sponsoring the All Life Matters booth at Shelton Day. The event runs from 10 am - 5 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2011. They will be located in space # 65, between White St & Bridge St: see the map & brochure published in the CT Post the week before. Come help spread the Culture of Life!
