Parks: Maple-DawsonPlaygroundPark Complex, located on the corner of Maple Avenue and Dawson Street is open to Moorestown residents daily. Facilities include lighted tennis courts, lighted basketball courts, and a tot lot for the little ones.
Strawbridge Lake Park, a 70-acre park area which is located between Haines Drive and Kings Highway, and a favorite with Moorestown residents, is used for picnicking, fishing, walking, and jogging.
Jeff Young Memorial Park, located adjacent to the New Albany Road
RecreationCenter on New Albany Road. Facilities include lighted
tennis and basketball courts, lighted street hockey rink, tot lot,
and softball fields.
Frank Fullerton Memorial Park, located at Third Street and Zelley Avenue. Facilities include lighted tennis courts and a basketball court, a small baseball field for youngsters, and a Robert Leathers Creative Playground.
Wesley Bishop Park, 16-acre athletic field complex located on North Church Street consists of four multi-purpose fields, regulation baseball field, two softball fields, two street hockey rinks, a skate park, a modular playground,and snack bar/restroom building. Two parking areas are available to accommodate users, with four multi-purpose fields, baseball field, softball fields, and hockey rinks all illuminated for night use.

Salem Road Park, 15-acre park and athletic field complex, consisting of two Little League fields, one regulation soccer field, one short-sided soccer field, tot lot, bike path/walkway system, and a snack bar/rest room building. Two fields are illuminated for night use.
PLAYGROUNDS
OPENING DATE: Tuesday, June 27, 2006

CLOSING DATE: Friday, August 4, 2006
The program, organized by the Department of Parks & Recreation, will offer a wide variety of activities including games, sports, arts and crafts, special events, and a series of field trips. The program is for Moorestown children ages 5 through 15.
REGISTRATION - Will be every day during playground hours of the first week or upon a child's first visit to the playground. Pre-registration is not necessary. All registration will take place at the playgrounds starting June 27th. Playgrounds will operate for the six-week schedule, Monday through Friday.
Morning Hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon Hours: 1:00 to 3:00 PM
NOTE: Playgrounds will be open rain or shine during the hours indicated. The Church Street Recreation Center will be used on rainy days to accommodate the FullertonandSalem Road Playgrounds.
FIELD TRIPS: The Department of Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring a series of full and half-day field trips this summer in connection with the Playground Program. Cost of each trip will include bus transportation and entrance fees. Individual flyers will with more detailed information regarding specific trips will be distributed on the playgrounds.

SUMMER THEATER: The Children's Summer Theater will be offered again this year. The program is for Moorestown youngsters ages 7 to 17 and runs for six weeks. During that time, the youngsters will be involved in all phases of producing a musical show--
from auditions through final production. Children will receive a practice schedule.The production dates are Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th. No rehearsal will be held on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday July 4th. This year’s show
will be ALADDIN.
NOTE: Auditions for this year's show, will be held at the MOORESTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM -June 26 and 27 from 9 AM to 11 AM and 1 to 3 PM.
SUMMER CONCERTS: Musical entertainment for the whole family. Concerts held on
Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. In case of rain concerts will
be held on the Thursday evening following the scheduled date
(unless otherwise indicated). Bring your own lawn chairs.
Admission is free! Concert site:PerkinsCenter for the Arts, Kings Highway and Camden Avenue.

GYMNASIUM/GAME ROOM The ChurchStreetRecreationCenter will be open CHURCH ST. CENTER and will be available for use to students on
Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 PM from Friday, June 23rd through Saturday, August 5th. All facilities will be available--Open gymnasium for basketball, as well as the third floor game room, which includes pool, ping-pong, air hockey, and other table games.
TENNIS - PUBLIC: Free public tennis at Maple-Dawson Courts, Jeff Young Park Courts, behind the New Albany Road Rec. Center, and
FullertonPark Courts, Third and Zelley Avenues.
Hours: 7 AM until 10 PM - Monday through Saturday
7 AM until Dusk – Sundays and Holidays

TENNIS LESSONS: Two five-week sessions conducted at Maple-Dawson courts on weekdays and Saturdays for children and on weekday evenings for adults (Women's Round Robin - Tuesday mornings) will begin the week of June 26th. For further information on tennis programs including Men’s Nights and Newcomers Programs or to register, please call Larry MacCluen at the courts (235-3660) or at home (428-6052). Fees range from $50.00 to $65.00, depending on level of
instruction.
GOLF LESSONS: A parent-child program covering grip, stance, proper swing, and putting, is available at Maple-DawsonPark on Thursday evenings or on Saturday mornings beginning the week of June 26th. There will be two five-week sessions, with a fee of $60.00-$72.00 per session. For registration information, please call Larry MacCluen at 235-3660.
FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS: For pre-kindergarten children ages 4-6, is available for morning sessions for five weeks on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursdays at Maple-DawsonPark at a cost of $63.00 per session. Program includes basic skills such as throwing, catching, skipping, and judging ball bounce. Questions or registration information can be handled by Larry MacCluen at 235-3660 or 428-6052.
PICNIC BAG: Upon request, the Recreation Department will make available to any Moorestown group or resident, a picnic or outing bag. Softball equipment, volleyball sets, horseshoes, croquet, bocce, soccer balls, playground balls and other equipment is available for your picnic or outing

SWIMMING - COMMUNITY HOUSE:
Playground Swim - For Moorestown youngsters ages 5 to 15,
Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 PM. Starts Tuesday,
June 27th and ends Friday, August 4th (except for Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th). Fee is $1.00 per hour for each youngster.
Public Swim - For the entire family through August 4th and 5th
