Where Eagles Dare!

Let’s GO PATs, Celts and B’s

Greetings & Ramblings from Mr. OB’s Desk

Hello,

What a great job Ms. Castro, Mrs. Jussaume and Miss Gracia did with the Veterans Day Service. Oh did I forget to mention the students, grades 3, 4, 5. WOW! They made us proud! The folks who came were very impressed. Above veterans Ted Griffin (Vietnam) & Peter Corr (US Marines).

We want to welcome our new Eagles, the Galligans, Kevin in 5th and Jacob in 2nd. May they enjoy SM as much as those who have come before.

Our next Mass is 12/8, we would love to have as many parents and grandparents to celebrate together with us and your child, nephew, niece, grandchild, friend, son or daughter. If you decide to attend Mass, please feel free to sit with the student’s class, the more the merrier. (It will also help with supervision from an admin perspective).

We’d love to know how we can pray for you. Let us know of any special intentions your family needs.

Texting the Message

Many of you responded to the opt in text message for messaging. This will be a great & convenient way for us to communicate things that are not emergencies but are still important. We still will not send you a barrage of information.

Feels Like 32 Degrees- Dress Em Warm

We would like to remind everyone that we go outside when the feels like temp is 32 degrees or above (Ma state guidelines). Many students are coming to school under dressed for cold weather. There is no supervision in the school at this time for those who are cold and want to go in as the teachers who do not have morning duty are preparing for the day.

No School Information

St. Mary’s Primary School follows the “No School” announcement of the Taunton Public Schools for inclement weather, late starts and early dismissals unless it is particular to SM. No School or School Delayed announcements are attempted to be broadcast between 6:00 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. on local television stations and FB. In addition, a school-wide broadcast through School Reach will be sent.

Delayed Start Procedure
Parents and guardians should be aware that if school is delayed there will be no morning care and dismissal time remains the same.

Year Book Information has been sent in your Wednesday Email.

From PE: Our Jump Rope for Heart event is in less than 1 week! We have started learning how to jump rope in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Grades 2 through 5 are working on fancy jump rope tricks to prepare for our event on 11/21. Pre –K students have been working on jumping and landing. Information about the event as well as optional fundraising for the American Heart Association went home last Thursday. Thanks for all of your support!
