TO FIX NOON ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11, 2018, AS THE TIME TO ELECT AN ATLARGE MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE WIL LOU GRAY OPPORTUNITY SCHOOLFOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2021, AND TWO ATLARGE MEMBERS WHOSE TERMS WILL EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022; FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING TWO ATLARGE MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF VISITORS FORTHE CITADEL FOR TERMS TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2024; FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FORFRANCIS MARION UNIVERSITY FROM THE FIRST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 1, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022, A MEMBER FROM THE FIFTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 5, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022,A MEMBER FROM THE SIXTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 6, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022, AND ATLARGEMEMBERS TO SEATS 8, 10, 12, 13, AND 14, RESPECTIVELY, ALL FOR TERMS TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022; FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FORWINTHROP UNIVERSITY FROM THE FIRST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 1, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2024, A MEMBER FROM THE FIFTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 5, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2024,AND A MEMBER FROM THE SEVENTHCONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, SEAT 7, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022; AND TO ELECT THREE MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR CLEMSON UNIVERSITY, AT LARGE, FOR TERMS TO EXPIRE JUNE 30, 2022.
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the Senate and the House of Representatives shall meet in joint assembly in the Hall of the House of Representatives Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at noon to elect an atlarge member to the Board of Trustees for the Wil Lou Gray Opportunity Schoolfor a term to expire June 30, 2021, and two AtLarge members whose terms will expire June 30, 2022; for the purpose of electing two atlarge members to the Board of Visitors forThe Citadel for terms to expire June 30, 2024; for the purpose of electing a member to the Board of Trustees forFrancis Marion University from the First Congressional District, Seat 1, for a term to expire June 30, 2022, a member from the Fifth Congressional District, Seat 5, for a term to expire June 30, 2022,a member from the Sixth Congressional District, seat 6, for a term to expire June 30, 2022, and atlargemembers to seats 8, 10, 12, 13, and 14, respectively, all for terms to expire June 30, 2022; for the purpose of electing a member to the Board of Trustees forWinthrop University from the First Congressional District, Seat 1, for a term to expire June 30, 2024, a member from the Fifth Congressional District, Seat 5, for a term to expire June 30, 2024,and a member from the SeventhCongressional District, Seat 7, for a term to expire June 30, 2022; and to elect three members to the Board of Trustees for Clemson University, atlarge, for terms to expire June 30, 2022.
Be it further resolved that all nominations must be made by the chairman of the Joint Legislative Committee to Screen Candidates for College and University Boards of Trustees and that no further nominating or seconding speeches may be made by members of the General Assembly on behalf of any candidate.
