Skoda - Used Car Area Manager
Regional Role – Midlands and the South East
Substantial basic salary with OTE plus benefits and a company car.
DEKRA Automotive is a talented team of people that bring out the best in a business. We are a key service provider to the Volkswagen Group UK and now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Used Car Area Manager to join us and work on our Skodaaccount.
The main aim of the role is to professionalise the approved used vehicle network and help to further improve the current network return on used vehicles across the brands.
As an Area Sales Manager you must have a strong used vehicles operations background ideally coupled with a proven history of improving performance. You will also possess detailed industry knowledge in order to deliver best in class advice and support to retailers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve used car department sales and profitability of approximately 30 retailers.
- Improve the professionalism and performance of retailer’s used car departments by working closely with the Management team onsite and Brand field teams
- Develop strong working relationships with retailers and field team colleagues to ensure that objectives are met for used vehicle sales and used department profitability
- Work with teams to review performance including visit agendas, objectives, actions and outcomes
- Ensuring compliance to Approved Programme Standards
- Supporting strategies and campaigns
- Development and delivery of coaching sessions and promote sustainable behavioural change
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to demonstrate a track record of significant sales successes
- Excellent relationship and rapport building skills
- A wealth of experience within territory management
- Strong sales and closing skills
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience in setting SMART objectives
- The ability to deliver sustainable behavioural change
- Knowledge and experience of performance management and employee training and development
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and vehicle operations
