Elk’s Scholarship: Information for the Elks Foundation 2014 Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest is now available on line. Go to Ms. Kenn's website and click on Elks National Foundation Scholarship link. Applications are due December 6, 2013.

Co-op Placement: Students who are interested in signing up for a Co-op placement for second semester must see Mrs. Lussier in the Career Center Office prior to December 13 to make arrangements for paperwork and schedule changes.

Upward Bound: will be here after school on Thursday for tutoring.

Attention Freshmen: You are invited to an overnight campus visit of Michigan Technological University on January 16-17, 2014 through LSSU's Gear-Up program. This is an overnight visit with departure from the LSSU Campus—Native American Center on the afternoon of Thursday, Jan. 16th and returning late the evening of Friday, Jan. 17th. Students will be housed in a hotel near the Michigan Technological University campus. All meals and transportation are provided by GEAR UP. Supervision is provided by the Program Director, Shelley Wooley and the LSSU student staff. Space is very limited. Participation will be on a first-come, first served basis and is limited to 9th Grade GEAR UP Students. Contact (906) 635-2068 or to register or if you have any questions. Registration deadline is this FRIDAY, December 6, 2013.

Robotics TEAM 1596: The Robotics Team will meet today at 3:30 in the Robotics Room. Check your email for more information.

LINKS: The next LINKS Club meeting will be held today after school from 3-4 p.m. in room 608. Members that can not make the meeting should stop in and let Mrs. Henderson know

Blood Drive: Come help save a life on Friday, December 13th by donating blood! Sault High HOSA will be sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive which will be held in the library. 16 year olds need to have a completed permission slip with parent signature before making the appointment. If you would like to make an appointment, you may go online to redcross.org or see Jessica Parmer or Mrs. Lehocky. On the day of donation, please bring your picture ID and eat a hearty meal beforehand.

The Sault High Girls Basketball team opened the season with a win in the Petoskey Invitational Tournament last night. The score was 55 to 10 over Traverse City West. The Blue Devils had great defensive pressure the entire game. MiKayla Scott led in scoring with 14 points and six rebounds. Autumn Woosley helped out with 8 points and Deana Lalonde had 10 points. The girls played again Thursday against Petoskey in the championship game.

Soo High Hockey: will be hosting a Burger Bash on Thursday December 5th 4-7 pm at the Elks Lodge. Burgers and fries for $5! Take out available!

Games this week are against Marquette Redmen on Friday at the Pullar Stadium at 7pm and on Saturday at 1pm. Students are admitted free with a school ID!
