Note: All auditions for Music Talent Award consideration must take place by February 1, 2018.

Please indicate if you will need an accompanist (vocal students only): (yes/no)

If you request to have an accompanist provided for your audition, you must send a copy of the accompanying music at least two weeks prior to your audition date. Accompaniment is not required for instrumental auditions. Recorded accompaniments are not permitted. One original printed copy of the audition music must be brought to the audition.

NOTE: All students interested in auditioning as a music major must complete a short essay (500 words or less) with the prompt “Why I Want To Be A Music Major”. This essay must be sent to the Department of Music ( or fax 937-229-3916) prior to your scheduled audition date.
