Position: Portfolio Manager

Summary:

Meeder Financial, an Ohio based money management firm with over $6.0 billion in AUM/Advisement, is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead, manage and actively participate in the firm's investment process. This position is responsible for the creation and maintenance ofquantitative models, investment manager due diligence, and security selection. The Portfolio Manager will also lead portfolio construction and trading activities, as well as communicate positioning and capital market expectations in written and verbal form.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Heavy participation in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of tactical, strategic, and security selection models. Manage statistical databases, data sources, and other relevant software to facilitate the Firm’s quantitative investment objectives.
  • Provide research, analysis, and recommendations regarding the selection of investment managers as well as individual equity securities.
  • Utilize investment model output to construct client portfolios for Meeder products on various broker platforms. Coordinate trading activities with the appropriate counterparties.
  • Evaluate stock and mutual fund holdings on a continual basis to ensure adherence to portfolio objective,risk profile, and style consistency.
  • Analyze and monitor critical macroeconomic issues for their potential impact on clients’ investment portfolios.
  • Participate in the Firm’s client communication process, including written reports covering portfolio performance as well as capital market and macroeconomic analysis.
  • Assist in new business development for Meeder Financial, including participation in due diligence reviews and other client meetings as requested.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other technical degree.
  • Professional Designations or working toward professional designations such as MBA, CFA, CMT, etc. preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an investment-related capacity.
  • Proficient with various software systems, including Bloomberg, Morningstar Principia, Zephyr, and Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience with economic and financial modeling and security analysis, preferably with exposure to both Equity and Fixed Income capital markets.
