CONFERENCE CHAMPS ... AGAIN!Xavier Basketball

Xavier Basketball locked up the undisputed conference championship

of the Bay Conference for 2017-18. The Hawks went 22-0 on the regular season,

14-0 in league games, and broke the school recordof 49 straight wins, strung together by XHS from March 1962 to March 1964, with win # 50 in a row on 2-22-18.

Xavier has won 52 games in a row through the 2018 Regional final.

Ranked #1 in the state inDivision 3 by WisSports and also by the Associated Press, the Matt Klarner-coached Hawks secured the 2017-18 league title on Feb. 9th,

with 3 conference games to play and a 4-game lead at that time.
Under Coach Klarner, it isthe 5th straight league crown and the 3rd Bay Conference title in a row in the 3 years XHS has been in the Bay Conference. Also, it is the

8th conference championship in the past 13 seasons for Xavier B-ball. And, it is

the 26th time in school history that Xavier has won a league title in 59 years of

Xavier Basketball.
It is the first time since the 1960's that Xavier won 5 consecutive conference championships in basketball; the only other time was when the late Torchy Clark’s teams finished as league champs 8 times in a row, from 1961-62 thru 1968-69.
