Drones: flying farming machines

An agreement between FederUnacoma, the Italian agricultural machinery manufacturers federation, FederUnacoma. and MIRUMIR, the company organizing Dronitaly, has been reached for the development of activities aimed at precision agriculture and automation of agricultural activities. According to the agreement MIRUMIR is entrusted on an exclusive basis with the organization of collective sector of exhibits in the settings of the upcoming events - fairs and demonstration - promoted by FederUnacoma in 2017 (EIMA Show and Agrilevante).

Following robotics, information technology and advanced electronics, FederUnacoma, the Italian federation of manufacturers of machinery, equipment and components for agriculture and groundskeeping, member of Confindustria, is now extending its sphere of interest to the sector of drones. FederUnacoma points out that with a rapidly changing agriculture, aimed at precision tillage and at an increasingly timely and scientific management of natural resources and productive factors, the use of drones has become of fundamental importance. Indeed, the synergy between the sector of mechanized agriculture and the sector of the small aircrafts specialized in precision interventions, is more than ever strategic. In this context the agreement between FederUnacoma and Mirumir srl, the firm that organizes Dronitaly, has been signed, for the development of experimental and promotional activities for which the two parties have a common interest, and for the organization of fairs and demonstrative events. The first occasion for this agreement to become operative is the EIMA Show, dedicated to precision agriculture and promoted by FederUnacoma (together with UmbriaFiere, Coldiretti Umbria, University of Perugia, the Foundation for Agricultural Education in Perugia and Ce.S.A.R., Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development), that will be held in Casalina di Deruta July 28 and 29. Mirumir will take part in the show with a dedicated exhibiting space and with an area for tests where, in compliance with the regulations in force, it will be possible to see in action a number of drones produced by some of the most important manufacturing companies. Thanks to the agreement signed by the two organizations, collaboration will extend to the international fair Agrilevante, held in Bari, next October 12 to 15, which will include among its products a number of drones, with a collective exhibiting space dedicated to the sector, managed exclusively by MIRUMIR.
