Escape to Egypt - Christian Aid's Refugee Walk -Christian Aid Wales staff and supporters will be doing a 140-mile sponsored walk across Wales this Christmas to make apublic show of Wales’ support for refugees. The walk starts inBethlehem in Carmarthenshire to ‘Yr Aifft’ (Egypt) in Denbighshire. Please promote the walk within your congregation, and encourage them, if possible, to join us for part of the journey. Green Churches - The CHASE group (Church Action for Sustaining the Environment) has drawn up the attached simple steps guidance for greening your church. We have also worked with Parish buying to promote some green products and services through them.The Governing Body has encouraged us all to do more to tackle climate change. The attached guidance seeks to offer some simple steps that parishes might like to consider for their buildings. Also attached is some information from Parish Buying on purchasing options you could consider which could help reduce the costs of such action.

The biennial overnight Ministry Conference of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Church in Wales will be from mid-morning on Monday 7th until mid-afternoon on Tuesday 8thNovember at Cefn Lea on A483 south of Newtown. The Cathedral Choir Association is hosting an Autumn Soireé on Thursday 10th November at 7pm in St. Asaph Cathedral. The evening will include a savoury fork supper, with instrumental and vocal performances from the Cathedral Choir. Monmouth Diocese is holding a vocations conference in Abergavenny on Saturday 18th February 2017. The conference will have a panel of speakers from a variety of ministries (monastic, lay, pioneer, ordained, and chaplaincy) and it would be a useful day for anyone exploring vocations to attend the day to hear the panel (who will be looking at the areas of vocation, faith and spirituality through the lens of their particular ministry) and have a chance to ask questions.
