ASN / Pling Toys - The Magic Cloud uses an emerging technology (RFID) to offer a powerful way to support creativity and communication. The Magic Cloud consists of: a soft cloud-shaped cushion that plugs into the computer (USB), sets of tags (small discs) and software. In four simple steps, learners link tags to their media files: image, video or audio, or even create and link a clip using a webcam. Then, by simply placing a tagged object on the Magic Cloud, the media plays on screen. You can re-record indefinitely, making the Magic Cloud a robust, simple, cost effective, new learning tool.

ASN / Using a Transition Toolkit – Dean Robertson (pupil) & Liz Allen (teacher) Oaklands School, Edinburgh
Dean’s presentation is a short Powerpoint about himself which he operates (sometimes incorrectly on purpose) with a head switch.
It was originally based on his ‘passport’, developed through the Transition Toolkit, which he was one of the first to present at his annual review at Oaklands, and has ‘morphed’ into this presentation. This has been shown at professional meetings where Dean has ‘performed’ for his audience.
It is one of the best ways for our children to have a voice at their meetings.
