SUMMARY

My name is Davette Harvey and I am the President/CEO of Amenique Community Relations which is an entrepreneurial training and development company. I have been in business since 1999 and have trained, consulted and/or coached over a hundred current and potential business owners in the areas of for-profit and non-profit business plan creation and development. I am a certified Entrepreneurial Trainer in all of the NxLevel Curricula Series, which is an internationally acclaimed in the enterprise training industry. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Instructional Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction to perfect the craft of transferring knowledge and to increase the probability of equipping my students for business success. My career objective is to obtain opportunities to educate, train, consult and coach current and potential enterprising individuals in entrepreneurial development.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Entrepreneurial Training and Development

·  Sheriff-Learn to Earn Program – A pilot program that was implemented to address the issue of recidivism. Over 100 participants were trained in the Cobb County Detention Center using the NxLevel Micro-Entrepreneurial Curriculum in the creation of a business plan over a two year period.

·  Instrumental in Sheriff-Learn to Earn Program pilot design and provided one-on-one business development consultations for each participant of the program.

·  Designed a comprehensive youth Critical Thinking curriculum for Skills4Industry.

·  Trained over 300 youth in entrepreneurism through three after-school programs. The 21st Century/Boys and Girls Club Initiative, GEMS and Itisso, Inc.

·  Wrote, designed and presented a "Young CEO' Business and leadership development series with course objective and outline for Academic Enrichment Blocks for Marietta Middle School. The series concluded with a mini career fair that show cased local entrepreneurs in different industries and students business concepts and products.

·  All participants of my training sessions developed a qualified business plan, rather youth or adult, rather if they pursued the opportunity or chose otherwise. Qualified means a bankable, operational and marketable plan.

Amenique Community Relations • Marietta, GA 1999 to Present

President/CEO

Responsible for the management, marketing and operations for the company

·  The company was awarded a two year contract through the Edge Connection a partner with the Small Business Administration and a Women's Enterprise Center to train inmates in micro-entrepreneurism in order to reduce recidivism The program was a collaborative effort between the Sheriff's office, Cobb/Douglas Community Board of Health, The Edge Connection and Cobb Works, a Work Force Investment Agency.

·  Hosted three annual entrepreneurial and leadership conferences in the Atlanta area.

·  Created and instructed a "Virtual Marketing Master" course and instructed continuing education students using lecture and demonstration with audio-visual aids in a computer lab for Marietta Community Schools and The Knowledge Shop. Upon completion of course, students had a completed virtual marketing plan with some of the vehicles operational.

·  Created and instructed a "Marketing the Brand Called “U” " course and instructed continuing education students using lecture and demonstration with audio-visual aids in a computer lab for Marietta Community Schools. Upon completion of course, students had a completed a branding plan based on sound public relations and publicity principles and strategies that are used in the marketplace.

Aided executive director in grant-writing, grant research and in being a community liaison, coordinated board materials, managed the community resource coordinator that was responsible for all outreach activities, and coordinated the collection and preparation of operating reports, assisted in the preparation of annual budget needs and annual reports for the non-profit organization.
