Denim for Digging Was a Great Success and We Have Already Earned More Than $1000 for The

The Middle School will have its annual Fall party beginning at 2:30 this Friday. The party is being organized by Carolyn White and her room mothers. You may receive a call if help is needed. The party will continue after school. The parents are setting up three rooms of entertainment for the kids from after school until the start of the football game. Students will be supervised by the parents and the teachers until the game starts but supervision ends at the beginning of the football game. We hope students will stay for the game and sit as a block to cheer the Titans.

Costumes: Middle school students may wear costumes on Friday. The costumes may not obstruct their vision; also we request that no weapons or blood and gore be part of the costume. We are having a contest for the best costumes.

Denim for digging was a great success and we have already earned more than $1000 for the well in Africa. See the web site for further details.

Activity report! The 8th grade field trip to the Civil Rights Institute was a big success. Students were exceptionally well behaved and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. The 7th graders worked on their cell city projects all day. Thanks to the [parents for helping students acquire the needed supplies. They too had a great day.

Many thanks to Mr. Hughes, Mr. Howard and Mrs. Gwinn for their participation in our panel discussion last Thursday for the conclusion of the 8th grade Civil Rights Unit.

We continue to have an excessive number of student possessions in the lost and found. Please talk to your child about being responsible for this/ her possessions. Students need to carry loose change to redeem their belongings.
