Job Title:Marketing Officer

Salary Scale:£16,000 - £17,000

Hours of Work:35 hours per week and as necessary to fulfil the scope of responsibilities within the post. This may involve some weekend and evening work and hours can be flexible to accommodate this.

Holiday Entitlement:31 days including bank holidays rising to 33 after two years service.

Pension:This position will be part of FACT’s auto enrolment pension plan.

Marketing & Communications Department

Working across all departments, the Marketing & Communications team ensures maximum exposure for FACT and its partners, ensuring that our reputation is protected and that the company profile is raised at every possible opportunity.

Purpose of Post

We require someone to join the Marketing & Communications team to help us maintain our numerous marketing channels and continue to raise FACT’s profile locally, nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

●Manage social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram, creating relevant and engaging content, and evaluating success

●Manage the production of marketing materials, working with external designers and collating information from the FACT team

●Lead on sourcing and uploading content to fact.co.uk, and act as day-to-day point of contact for website developers

●Build and maintain relationships with local businesses to coordinate Affinity partner officers as part of FACT’s Membership scheme

●Coordinate occasional events as part of FACT’s public programme

●Coordinate local, national and international partnerships to promote FACT and its activities

●Source images for marketing and press, ensuring correct permissions are obtained & supplying images, as required.

●Work with wider team to maintain central contacts database

●Meet City Screen team regularly and support their team to effectively, promote cinema programme, events, facilities and offers

●Support the coordination of distribution of FACT’s publicity material in a timely and effective manner

●Liaise with the Visitor Services team to ensure that audience data is being collected and shared

●Work with Front of House team to ensure that all print is correctly displayed inside the building

Essential

−Experience of working in a Marketing role for a minimum of two years

−A good understanding of audiences and methods for targeting communications

−Experience of sourcing and uploading content for websites

−Highly literate with proven copywriting skills.

−Confident and effective communicator

−Proven relationship building skills

−An enthusiasm for contemporary culture, cinema and the arts

−Demonstrable experience of using social media platforms to promote a product, venue, event or brand

Desirable

−Experience of developing and delivering media partnerships

−Experience within the Creative Media/Arts sector

−A working knowledge of FACT

−Knowledge of Mac operating systems

−Ability to use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
