Advanced Art II Assignment
You are working more independently now, so you will be expected to pace your self and set goals for a time line. I will meet with you at least two times a week (most weeks more) to determine your progress and give you feed back. If you feel you need more input from me it is your responsibility to seek out guidance from me. Remember I have the background in Art use me to guide you through the process.
T Shirt Project
You will use the computer to design an iron on patch for a T-shirt. This patch should be designed using either PhotoShop and or Illustrator software.
Design a T-shirt for a fictional or real band. If you are designing for real band no artwork or lettering from previous CD covers may be used. You must re-design a new look for your chosen band. Here's the challenge design a soft Rock Cover for a band like KORN, or design a heavy metal cover for Back street Boys. Color will be the principal design element used. Use color to draw your eye to an area. Finished size of Project will be 8.5 x 11. You may use drawings you have created and or add color to those drawings.
Student may only begin work on this project if they bring in a T-shirt or fabric of some kind to iron on. End use will be considered in this project. Also appropriate language and images suitable for school viewing will be necessary.
Things to remember about color:
· Color can set a mood. What colors are sad colors, what is the color of fright? Think about this before you choose.
· Cool Colors Recede Warm colors come forward
· Colors on the monitor are not exactly what colors come out from the printer. So you must change the colors to CMYK before printing. Imageà ModeàCMYK
· Do a test print before printing your final. You get one sheet of paper in your art kit any extra sheets cost $1.00
