Publishing Veterans Reveal Book Proposal Secrets

Free Teleseminar Answers Questions on How to Get Published

(Winfield, IL, May 31, 2007)—Book publishing coach Diane Eble will interview former acquisitions editor Terry Whalin on what it takes to get published by a traditional publisher, in a free teleseminar on June 5, open to all who register at

"More than 80 percent of all nonfiction books are sold from a book proposal," says Terry Whalin, author of more than 60 nonfiction books, including Book Proposals that Sell. Diane Eble, also an author and former editor, agrees on the importance of a strong book proposal. "The book proposal is key to equipping an editor with what he or she needs to sell the rest of the publishing house on why this book should be published," she says. Eble has sold every book she has proposed to date—11, plus one reprint.

On June 5 at 7:30 p.m. Central, Eble will ask Whalin questions submitted by those who register for the teleseminar. "Rather than come up with the content ourselves, we want to make sure we answer questions from those who attend the teleseminar," Whalin says.
