Sealed quotations are invited for Renovation work in Library hall GF , Gents & Ladies toilets of Library building at MDI Campus, Gurgaon. The quotation should be submitted in a sealed cover superscribing the “Quotation for the Renovation work in Lbrary building “ & addressed to :

so as to reach on or before 15.00 hrs. on the 17thApril 2012.The rates quoted should be inclusive of all labour, material, taxes, octroi , cess etc. and no extras on this account will be admissible. The schedule of quantities are enclosed at Annexure A .The terms and conditions are given below:-

Terms and Conditions :

1)Running advance payments against the work done not exceeding 80% of the value of work done shall be paid on submission of bills by the Contractor.

2)The work shall be executed as per CPWD specification. The mode of measurements of work done shall also be based on CPWD specification.

3)First quality paint manufactured by the following firms (in the same order of preference ) shall be used and only be brought to the site in sealed containers. Contractor should also ensure that only the required quantities of materials should be brought to the Campus.

4)The Quantity to be executed may vary according to actual requirement. The payment shall be made on the basis of actual measurement of work done at the rates quoted by the Contractor as per schedule of quantities enclosed.

5)TDS and WCT shall be deducted as per rules.

6)The Institute reserves the right to get the whole or part of work done through one or more parties.

7)Water and electricity shall be supplied by the Institute free of cost.

8)Contractor shall bring only the actual quantity of materials required after measuring the actual area of work to be done at site.

9)The dismantled mulba/rubbish should be disposed off outside the campus at a suitable dumping ground at no extra cost within 2 days of completion of work or it would be got done by the Institute at the risk and cost of the contractor and the said amount shall be deducted from the bills of the Contractor.

10)The work should be organized without causing inconvenience/disturbance to the participants/Students /Faculty.

11)The rates of extra works, if executed, shall be based on CPWD schedule of rates and for items not covered therein shall be worked out as per prevailing market rates added with 20% contractor’s profit and overheads for which a rate analysis shall have to be submitted by the Contractor which would be subject to approval of the Institute.

12)The entire work should be completed within 45 days from the date of awarding the work. Damage for delay in completion of the work would be Rs.1,000/- (Rs. one thousand only) per day subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- ( Rs. Fifty thousand only). Decision of the Institute in this regard would be final.

13) Contractor should make own arrangement for all tools and plants required to complete the job.

14) The watch and ward of materials brought at site shall be the responsibility of the contractor.

15) The work should be organized/carried out without affecting the normal functioning of the Institute. There should be least disturbance for the movement of traffic inside the Campus.

16) The contractor must get acquainted with the proposed site for the work and study specifications and conditions before quoting the rates

17) Payment will not be made to the contractor for damage caused by rains or other natural calamities during the execution of the work and no claim on this account will be entertained. The damages, if any , occurred shall be rectified without any extra cost.

18)At least one authorized representative should always be available at site of work to take instructions from Engineer-in-Charge and ensure proper execution of work. No work will be done in the absence of such an authorized representative.

19)The contractor shall get the samples of materials approved sufficiently in advance from the Institute. The materials brought at site shall strictly conform to the quality of samples approved and in case of variation such materials shall liable to be rejected and to be removed from the site within 24 hours of the rejection by the Engineer-in-Charge.

20)The Contractor, if need so arise, shall remove one or more labour /supervisor from the premises of the Institute at the direction of the Institute.

21)The contractor should also comply & amended time to time with the existing Labour Laws/License, Provident Fund Rules and other statutory rules prevailing/applicable in HaryanaState.

22) The contractor shall take all safety precautions for the safety of his employees and the Institute shall not be in any way liable for any damage/liability on account of any mishap or negligence of the Contractor.

23) The rates shall be valid for entire duration of work.

24)The Sample of electrical/Plumbing fitting shall be got approved before bulk procurement by the Contractor.

25) An earnest money deposit of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty thousand only) shall also be submitted along with the quotation by way of Demand Draft/Pay Order favoring in Management Development Institute payable at Gurgaon. The EMD shall be released after one month of satisfactory completion of job. The earnest money deposit of unsuccessful questioners will be refunded.

26)The security deposit money shall be deducted @ 5% from R/A bill & shall be released after six months from the date of completion of work

27) Contractor is advised to visit site before quoting the rates.

MDI reserves the right to accept or reject any of all the quotations without assigning any reason whatsoever.
